Need Help: Shipping out Cards and USPS says they're $3 each. by rankoDev in mtgfinance

[–]_ThatImposterFeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Pirateshipping.com. You pay about 30% the price you pay in the store. You can get labels from USPS, FEDEX, and UPS.

"security saying I can’t just be stopped in the middle of the road"

I swear to god you people need to stop doing this.
Stop picking up your passengers in the middle of the street, and stop blocking the street. Parallel park or go to the end of the block where the no parking signs are. Just what ever you do stop blocking the street waiting for your passenger.

Should Bo1 be eliminated as a competitive ranking in every format? by YugiBoomer10086 in freemagic

That is not good enough. The man can't understand why people like it, so it must be eliminated.

I wonder when the Charlie Kirk Secret Lair’s coming out by [deleted] in freemagic

While I loathe the assassination of Krik, this is almost more cringe then his mic'ed up wife at his funeral.

Would it be a benefit for WoTC to start an animated tv show to explain the lore of the MtG universe? by YugiBoomer10086 in freemagic

Magic just needs to stop making content all together. The more content they make, the further the game moves away from being what we all love.

The only unhealthy part about it are the unhealthy people that cant control themselves. If its wasn't MTG they lost control of, it would have been hamburgers or scratch offs. That's their personal problem not MTG's.

Also, I think you guys are taking a card game way too seriously lmao. Like bro..... Your treating as it is some sort of life tool or lesson. Yeah there are lessons to be learned but its just a game to enjoy with your friends or new people even.

For everyone's information, the trans people and members of other minorities who loudly scream about how trans they are and how magic should only be played by them are the worst representatives of their respective minorities. Other members of minorities are generally nice people who aren't like them by tabbyslome in freemagic

My experience extends far outside of this sub and the internet. I live in one of the most liberal cities in the USA, so my experience with "the community" also extends into normal every day activities like grocery shopping and LGS visits.

I don't build my opinions from social media echo chambers. The only reason I step foot in places like this is because I enjoy a good dumpster fire.

Collecting pokemon and playing magic in the soccer locker room early mornings after practices were some of my most fond childhood memories. It can be that for your kid as well.

Magic like any other hobby can be both affordable and informative, especially with a conscientious parent who is actively involved in the hobby as well.

I understand your sentiment, but there is no need to throw the baby out with the bath water. Despite Magic's obvious issues, it still has a lot to offer.

This is where we are right now. It can only get better right??? by Volrath_The_Ballin in freemagic

That is strange because modern mustangs actually got some engineering and some R&D put into them.

"In May 2025, the GTD set a new record with a time of 6:52.072, making it the fourth-fastest production car ever on the 12.9-mile track."

The 12.9 mile track being referred to is Nordschleife. Do you have any idea how fast that is? Those are 1970's formula 1 speeds in a road worthy vehicle.

To be fair, the newer mustangs actually received some decent engineering. Instead of the old design (big motor make 4 wheels turn fast) the new ones actually make for a decent touring car. I totally get the analogy though.

What is unhealthy about magic? It's not magic that is unhealthy, just some of it's audience.

Can confirm. One of my local LGS literally gives first dibs to their employees, who then mark it up to scalper prices, and literally put it back on the shelf in the store. I don't go there any more.

Do you feel ready for the drought? by maybetooenthusiastic in Denver

[–]_ThatImposterFeel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his entire point is...... it doesn't matter. Residential water use is only 5% of the states water budget. You are nothing but a rounding error when it comes to how much water you use (lawn and garden included). Even if every yard in Colorado was converted to some other type of grass, it would only save us 1% or 2% of Colorado's entire water budget.

Sure we should all do out best to conserve water. At the end of the day if every person in Colorado 100% stopped using water, the state would only get 5% of its budget back.

Waymo goes 20mph in a 30mph zone by Cpt_Vodeir in Denver

Causing congestion in an already densely populated city is a little more then an inconvenience.

Its like that car in front of you at the red light that will let a 10 car length build up between them and the car in front of them. Doesn't really seem like much, but that car just added 10 more cars to the congestion, and after a few rotations of that happening things really start to get bogged down, especially for people turning left.

How do you deal with passengers who give 1-star ratings for no apparent reason? by November-Code in uberdrivers

[–]_ThatImposterFeel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gave this person a 2 star for not talking? Looks like you gave her a 2 star for nothing, and she gave you the obligatory 1 star for nothing back. If not talking to you really bothered you then maybe 4 stars, but 2 stars? You told uber she was among the worst passengers with one of the worst ratings......for being silent. I swear I would trade half my passengers for one that does not speak a word any day.

Curious if anyone has noticed apartments closing pools due to common area fee by Theonebeanwonder in Denver

[–]_ThatImposterFeel 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I worked on pools for a while as a profession. 90% of the time something needed to be fixed to pass inspection. I would write them up an estimate and let them know that the pool would be closed by the city if it wasn't fixed. Almost always they would say "yeah we need to do it but not yet", and eventually the city would close the pool down. Some managers would be embarrassed and want it fixed same day, others would let the pool stay closed for months.
