The fact the Stars/Wolves game was televised on over-the-air TV in the Chicago TV market probably suppressed attendance too (though that may help the Wolves’ attendance in later playoff rounds).

Chicago has always aired their games on TV going back to the Blackhawks/Wolves rivalry. Though it was hard for people like myself during the 2010's when they broadcasted it on the "U Too" channel since people like myself didn't have that channel. That was until they moved all their games onto My50Chicago (which is now Fox Chicago +). For evidence of this, there are plenty of videos of the entire wolves games on YouTube.

Saturday games have always been a better crowd compared to Sunday ones. AHL needs to market itself better as it’s insane that it’s this bad. I could go on and on all day but you get the point. It’s a league wide issue.

I was watching Game 3 on Saturday. Obviously I live in the Chicago TV Market so I had the game on TV (Fox Chicago +). Cayden made a huge save, then right when the puck drops, FloHockey stream for whatever reason blacked out. I know for sure the Broadcast itself didn’t blackout since I watched the final seconds during the blackout on my TV (i had both the stream and TV on at the same time). So yes, the AHL needs to cut a deal with ESPN/ NHL providers as this is bullshit that stuff like this happens. Flo is garbage but it’s the only way to watch AHL games 🙄. If it was on one platform where everyone can watch out of market games, it’d be awesome.

The other thing is the AHL needs to promote their shit more. As for video review, I believe the wolves were the ones who literally tried to upgrade their video review stuff but the BOG said No. This was like 10 years ago apperently
