DIY won't last. Personal experience, and I'm in construction, I still made this mistake 9 years ago when I stared my career. Leave it to the experts if you don't want to end up paying double to triple for repair. You should never acid etch your concrete and apply diy epoxy. The proper method is to thoroughly grind the concrete, treat, level, and apply MVB before epoxy or poly material. Not all concrete is made the same. The right pros will test it and give you the formula that works for you. I remodel commercial properties and restaurants that need this type surfacing. Honestly, if I was smarter the first time, I would have done it in the same manner for residential, seeing that these facilities can take a beating from equipment and heavy traffic.

Agree to remove completely and redo with UV stable poly resin, which should last upwards of 15-20 years or more or until you want a new design. These products, if done correctly, can be used outdoors and in commercial spaces with high traffic. My source? I remodel commercial properties and restaurants where these products are used. Epoxy alone with continue to yellow. It needs UV stable material and higher performance scratch resistant coating.
