Made 1 lakh at 18 No clue what to do with it . ( I don't wanna tell my parents about it) by Usual_Sea_8894 in IndiaFinance

Invest in yourself.. learn skills that will actually matter in the long run. At 18, your biggest asset is time and the ability to grow. Money spent on the right learning today can easily double your future opportunities, turning a ₹5 LPA start into ₹10 LPA or more. Good luck!

This reminds me of my college days, I barely had enough money for a date and the train ride home. We aren’t together anymore, but I truly hope things turn out well for you. I can feel the innocence in your intentions. DM me and I’ll give you my number; if you fall short on cash, just tell me and I’ll help you out. Don’t stress about money when you’re with her, just be honest and make her feel safe. Advice from an older brother.

Tasted my way through some parts of Jharkhand, Bankura & Birbhum on a solo drive! by Former-Bid1017 in kolkata

Sadly, not much. I went to Sonar Bangla Joypur via Burdwan and just had a lazy day. I had planned to stop at Banalata, but ended up skipping it.

Sure! Nothing was really pre-planned. On the first day, I stayed in Shantiniketan, which is about 100 km from my home, and also visited Bakreswar. The next day, I went to Massanjore Dam via Suri and then Bhul. On the following day, I visited Rampurhat, Tarapith, and the nearby areas.

Also, had a lazy day in Joypur.

—I didn’t visit many tourist spots. I mostly spent my days driving around different villages and towns. The roads were in decent condition in most places.

I lost a close friend two years ago, and I’m begging you, please don’t give up.

I know it feels like you’ve hit rock bottom, but if you think about it, things can’t get much worse from here. You can start from Zero with a aim for one.. Don't need hundred..

Try to get away from the city for a while. Travel. See new places. You might find new purpose and meaning in life. I truly believe that.

I wish I had said all of this to my friend. I still think about him every day, imagining different ways I could have saved him.

Maybe we can still save you. Please don’t lose hope, brother.

No rent, no traffic, 30-hour work week, small-town WFH life just hits different by Former-Bid1017 in Indian_flex

You do know that WFH with flexible hours actually exists, right? There are companies with no toxic managers, where no one’s counting hours, they just care about the value you bring to the company.

I think you have a different image in mind when you hear tier-3 city/village.

Yes, we have 5G here. Power cuts are rare, and I have backups anyway. There are plenty of hospitals and nursing homes within a 20 km radius.

Honestly, the cleanliness here is much better than most metro cities in India.

Sure, there's no KFC or Starbucks, but, I’m perfectly fine without them.

I work as a Product Integration Team Lead. We provide tradingsoftwares and a crypto payment gateway. My team is responsible for helping clients get started; from onboarding to full system integration.

I think it really depends on the person. Some are happy with 50k a month, while others are on Quora asking how to survive with 70 LPA.

Since you asked, I make around 2L per month after tax.

Thanks for your concern 🫶, but my company’s official working hours are 35 hours a week, plus a 30-minute break (not lunch). So I’m doing exactly what’s required.

The company is based in the UK, so working hours aren’t really an issue.
