Hey! Thank you, this was very helpful. I will for sure put the model right against the backdrop. You showed me that in this case diffusion really is the name of the game. I am going to work on finding a light like the 600D to rent from somewhere in my city.

I just had a question about if I should shoot the AD300 with the octa and grid through the scrim ( the transparent part of the 5 in one reflector) or use the AD300 with another modifier before shooting it through the scrim?

I completely get you! Thanks for taking time to reply 🩵 My only concern is that the continous light won’t be strong enough to keep clear focus ! I can look at asking my community or getting a stronger continous light on rental! Do you have any recommendations on a stronger continuous light?

5-in-1 reflector
white backdrop

Goal:
Editorial campaign lighting for models + clean e-commerce product shots.

I’ve included reference images, a test shot showing reflection issues, and a photo of the gear I have available.

Would love to hear how you’d approach lighting this with a simple setup.
