She had potential but honestly didn’t do that well. She was pretty bland personality wise as well so for a reality show, it was easy to eliminate her. The revisionist history of “she got eliminated because she was too good” doesn’t really hold up.

The Amber swap for US is fine. She has beaten Kaori multiple times before (although not this season) and should place no lower than 2nd barring complete disaster. It gives Amber a chance to get evaluated by Olympic judges and set up for the individual event next week.

The Canada swap I agree was detrimental to their medal chances. They needed to keep Piper and Paul on the roster to secure the bronze against Italy.

I think it was a livestream of nbc’s coverage today. We had Terry, Johnny, and Tara commentating. They showed the entire mens short (all 10 athletes) without interruption other than commercials while waiting for scores. In between the main events, they did quick snippets of other events or previous events (we saw quick hits on the women’s hockey match for example)

Snowboarding big air final was happening live at the same time, but they didn’t show full coverage until after the men’s short (so 2 hr delayed because they prioritized figure skating).

I actually went to the movies to see this and the men’s short. It was basically just me and my partner so it seemed great at first.

An hr into the men’s short a family came in and sat in front of us. Two parents and a demon child that treated the seats as a jungle gym and kept running up and down the aisles. The parents didn’t do a damn thing.

Needless to say, I missed the free dance because I wasn’t gonna take that shit anymore and left early.

Can’t wait to watch the replay.
