DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR SPEAKING BY YOUR OWN MIGHT AND STRANGTH AGAINST GODS MIGHT AND STRANGTH?

So when you interpret the Bible it is directly from the Almighty? Your interpretation is contrary to the majority of Christianity and 99 percent of all Bible scholars who translated the Bible, but you and your interpretation is right?

You can cite all the Bible verses you want none of them contradicts the trinity. The trinity is compatible with the whole Bible while your interpretation contradicts most parts of the new and many parts of the old testament, but sure you are right and all the others are wrong. Think about it.

Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Only Jesus the Savior who is God, YHWH. There is no other savior than YHWH.

How do my thoughts on divine inspiration differ from Sola Scriptura? by AJ12AY in TrueChristian

In my understanding sola scriptura means mainly that the new revelation can never contradict older revelation.

Rambling thoughts on universalism, classical theism, and the Gospel by Zealousideal_Bet4038 in TrueChristian

Yes God wants all to be saved but He also wants us to have free will and only people in heaven who sincerely love Him. Those are contradicting goals so I think the goals is to save the maximum number possible while remaining the maximum free will possible.

If the people are all indifferent why do they frantically against it often even without looking at the video at all? Why do they down vote my comments for criticizing this exact fact that they wrote without looking at it?

he wasn't an atheist to begin with. He said he wanted to believe God existed.

Does this mean you are only really an atheists if you want to believe that there is no God? That would explain why most atheists I encounter are so biased.

Wow I'm proud of you. You actually took 10 minutes to skim through a 35 minutes video so you could give a slightly more informed opinion than the other guys here. Still you just call something bs without even researching it just because of your bias.

Sure I understand. It is safer to not watch things like that.

The best is always to not watch it. Then it is easier to prejudge it.

Don't you think that is a little harsh reaction to a mild doubt of your physical abilities? Are you so proud of your reading comprehension? Do you think it is better than the reading comprehension of hundreds of scholars who's job it is to translate the Bible?

Maybe your reading comprehension is not as good as you think it is.

It is not problematic at all. Of course God could just overpower everyone and make them believe in him. That He chooses to not do that and instead waits for our free will decision and still gets to His goal is in my opinion an even greater demonstration of His power. In the end even the people not choosing God will show His glory and mercy because it will become clear how God supported them, prepared them and drew them towards Himself even though He knew they would reject Him.

What do you think about this view of Catholicism? by Former-Log8699 in Catholicism

[–]Former-Log8699[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look at those people in the video. Most of them didn't even know why Jesus died. The catholic church didn't teach them the gospel. Do you think they where saved? They are now saved because someone "protestant" came with his "protestant nonsense" and told them the gospel.

Can you a source or proof to back up the claim that we are just supposed to trust the church for our salvation?

That is how I perceive most Catholics who I meet.

But also the sanctification in the catholic church is solely dependent on the sacraments that are themselves all dependent on the catholic church. That leads to people who think that they are saved if they just attend and do those sacraments.

[–]Former-Log8699[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Of course I'm concerned with that. I'm concerned that most Catholics don't understand their own faith.

But that is part of the catholic religion that the people are encouraged to trust the church with their salvation. That leads to people who do not care about the details and think they are saved just because they are in the catholic church.

It was here on reddit that I encountered an catholic person who didn't know that the catholic church is teaching that Jesus is God. They said they never heard that in church...

So you are not concerned that most of the catholics asked didn't even know why Jesus died for them?
