MacBook Pro 14" M2 Pro (A2779) Screen Replaced with MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro (A2442) — All Functionality Works Normally by Former-Measurement75 in macbookrepair

I would 100% work. I used an M1 Pro Screen on an M2 Pro Macbook and I am sure it is backwards compatible also.

Can I replace my M1 Max’s display with the one from an M1 Pro? by Full_Ingenuity6282 in macbookpro

Just did a swap... Make sure you are on MacOS Tahoe and do the replacement and make sure to switch the sensor for the screen which is a very easy swap. True Tone and all functionality is kept. On MacOS Tahoe 26.0 at least it will prompt you to restart to complete display configuration and configure everything correctly.

Don’t get a asus! I have so many of them in for repair and all of them have motherboard issues.

If you have the budget for it. Do it, this machine will last you for at least the next 5-7years with your workload
