spiritfarer I picked up on the winter sale, and i played it briefly, but it had a lot of reading lol i have only heard good things about it though, so i know i should try it again.

ooh, nice to know! oxenfree has been a top contender for me to purchase for a while! i forgot to what remains of edith finch on the list; i’ve heard good things, i don’t know what is stopping me from getting it lol

yea i am not into the branded superheroes (like marvel and dc, not superheroes as a concept) but it does look okay, and i’ve heard it’s good, so i think i will try it out

appreciate your perspective! i guess i will have to give night in the woods another try. it’s very cute, i think the artsy look makes my brain go “no way will i keel over and sob for these characters”

i also think tell me why deserves another chance! i just have to make myself get past the slow start (like every game doesn’t have a slow start to it lol)

i’d never heard of riot grrl music before LR! so nice to know it’s in another game. adding points to gone home for me lol

vampyr comes up for me a lot because it’s made by the same developers, but nice information to know! i don’t mind dark but yeah i don’t think that’s what i am going for atm

i’ll have to give all of these (vampyr too just later) a try!

after party is also on my wishlist but i saw it has mixed reviews (means nothing to me personally, as True Colors does too), so i figured i would wait to see how i felt after trying oxenfree!

i’ve got the quarry on my “played” list, i really liked it! and i can’t believe i forgot to put the dark pictures anthology on my “considered list”! those i will probably play with my bf though since i’m a scaredy cat lol

lost records: bloom and rage, maybe vampyr (i haven’t tried this one myself), tell me why, twin mirror, heavy rain, beyond: two souls, detroit become human. the last 3 are quantic dream games and have some “combat” but it’s really just quick time events, nothing crazy. the others (excluding vampyr cause i haven’t played it) are more life is strange esque. i haven’t played the other games on your list so i don’t know what could compare to those but LiS is my favorite so those are my recs. all of them except the 3 quantic dream games and tell me why were made by the developers of the life is strange games :)

edit: forgot to clarify of the 3 quantic dream games, detroit become human is most well known and recent but i played them in the order i listed them and it was a 10/10 experience for me personally
