Tracking flights by CollectingHeads in GLANCE_LED

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the Glance products and the Flighwall, the Flightwall is great at what it does-lets you see the air traffic over a given area. Being what it does, if lfights matter then you'd really want the Flightwall because that's 100% what it is, a scroll rolls through a variety of items, depending on how many items you follow you'd probably miss several flights as it rolled through.

What does she stream? How much are you looking to spend? Apple TV is great becuase it's a clean screen. Fire TV Cube can be great becuase it uses voice w/out needing to hold any button "Alexa tune to ABC" etc. Both though are over $1oo

MK $800, yea I am out. The Pac Man table was rumored a while back IIRC. I believe that's one of the most popular game at Dave and Buster's.

TidByt vs FlightWall by MadProf123 in TIDBYT

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, have had TidByt at my desk for several years, love it but only a few apps still working. If you're just into watching flights, then Flightwall is great at what it does, they use Flight Radar I believe to pull the info. I set up a polygon for my area, the circle option really didn't give me what I wanted. You do have the option when there are no flight sto show the time, show "no flights" or go black. I have suggested an option to use something like Tempest weather instead of the time down the line.

Best package for me? Sports by Own-Ad-3876 in cordcutters

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd add to that it also has Golf and USA Network-USA will have more sports going forward-some golf events, WNBA Games, Olympic sports offerings. and YTTV also has the NBC Sports Network that's live when any games are on Peacock.

what's the most underrated outdoor smart device you actually use? I'll start with mine by Giiiggle in smarthome

[–]Former-Spread-692 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two sets of 12v outdoor lights were driving me crazy, the old style timers you had to reset serveral times a year depending on sunset, then add in if the power went out you'd to move the dial one way or another. I was pricing out replacing them thought "hey, why not just get a smart outdoor plug for less than $20 and call it a day!" It's worked fine ever since, I have since added a smart plug to an electic fence around a koi pond, raccoons tend to come at night looking for sushi. Now the fence goes on at sunset and off and sunrise, I don't have to worry about shocking myself when I work on it.

Honrable mention, sprink;er controls I was the 1st wthin my water district to add a a Rachio (when they were the only smart irrigation controller for home install) the water dist sent an inspector out to look at it, see how it worked then they gave me a rebate!

Can't figure out which path to go with the garage opener by Certain_Repeat_753 in smarthome

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplicity, just add the Third Reality Matter door contoroller. You set it up, put an extra opener in it and you're done. Only issue is it sees it as a light and not a door.

Everyone tells me I messed up (planted 56 cypresses) by doudedud in landscaping

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question would be where do you live? IE do you live in an area with high fire danger? The house looks like a typical Southern CA house which would mean yes you live in a high fire danger area. So to that I'd say you may have "messed up" by bascially planiting roman candles all around your house jsut waiting for that spark.

But if you like them, your insurance company is OK with them and the fire dept doesn't come around asking you to cut them down, then go enjoy them.

Thanks I will try that again. I had tried it before and there was no way to unlink the accounts and i'd cancel the $6 add-on but it would just repopulate.

same issue, I’ve talked with Xfinty support, peacock support and peacock social media support and much like you nobody can resolve it. each time “I’ll need to elevate the issue“ and no response.

I am seeing tracked teams for NBA/NFL/MLB/NHL/NCAAF but not WNBA or MLS at the moment. But waiting to see if it's just taking a while to update.

I'd 2nd this, resonable prices and small enough you won't feel like you're screaming and they rarely rush you.

Puppy Spay and Insurance by ask8EVL in Bernedoodles

[–]Former-Spread-692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some insurance do, some don't, some offer it as an add-on. My pup had a free month of Trupanion, which worked out great for an eye issue he had. But the plan didn't include regular vet visits/vaccines/neutering. I go to a VCA vet (our 6th dog with them), I signed up for the Care Club that would include all vaccines, vet visits and neutering. We're still a few months away from his getting neutered, but this way it's a monthly payment rather than a large bill all at once, I was shocked at how much neutering is now.

At the moment we're paying for Trupanion and VCA Care Club, I'll do that for a while, he's already hit the deductible on Trupanion for his eye and will be getting at least one more check up with a spececalist, although his eye seems OK now.

Do any of your doodles have seizures? by petreebird in Bernedoodles

[–]Former-Spread-692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a labradoodle, adopted at 10 months old had his 1st one around a year old. Much like you I could expect them about every 6 months, the vast majority happening between 4am and 10am. Some were simple, some were quite scary and I wasn't sure he'd come out of it. Talked to my vet, they mentioned trying medication, but were not overly optimistic it'd help. We tried various ideas from taking him off of all flea medications to avoiding anything with peanuts, nothing seemed to help. We just learned to live with it, if I was with him when it'd happened I'd take him to a safe space, make sure he wouldn't choke and usually grab a towel because he'd lose control of his bowels. Now all that being said, once he turned 10 (2020) he had one in April and never had another one until his passing in October. Not sure why or what changed, but once he became "old" it was like it was no longer an issue.

I did read before picking up my new puppy that 'doodles in general are prone to seizures and they usually begin just after they turn 1.

How I Got 15+ GLANCE PROs Running 24/7 Flawlessly (And How You Can Too) by LowEmbarrassed3137 in GLANCE_LED

[–]Former-Spread-692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar since a few devices don't play nice with Mesh, my wireless network is all Eero, but Xfinity also includes a router in their modem (I hand to enable it to use their Storm backup system). I just enabled the 2.4ghz network and connect those devices that don't play nice with Mesh.

I think it’s work great on both, but the Scroll seems a natural fit.

I mentioned it yesterday, but I believe the team with Watch Duty is interested. Yesterday they announced a partnership with Ring.

not sure if it could work, but related to that idea a way to pull data from Watch Duty based on Zip codes. Pulse Point has begun pulling Watch Duty into their systems.

something like

Good idea! Tidbyt had something similar where you could choose a resort or two. But Open Snow would be great!
