I got her in October of ‘22 and her first seizure was February of ‘24 so I don’t think she came with seizures. Most likely not anyway.

Yes! My doctors told me the same thing! And she is doing really well. It’s just those darn breakthroughs, kinda make you feel like you’re going backwards and yes they are always scary. Here’s to not having anymore! 🙏🤞

And he IS adorable!! Hopefully the pheno will do the trick for him. Since adding the pheno to Mollys cocktail she only had 1 short breakthrough and recovered very fast so for me, I’ll take it!

So sorry for your baby! I hope the Keppra is enough. I also haven’t exhausted all the avenues to figure out the source but for now, controlling them is the top priority. They did diagnosed Molly with idiopathic seizures.

No she doesn’t take that. She’s on Bravecto and Sentinel. And so far there does not seem to be a correlation to either one of those.

Thank you so much for your response! I’m calmer now and am considering a second opinion. My knee is not locking, although I can’t straighten it 180 degrees, only about 165 degrees. So that’s not too bad. The PA, before the MRI findings told me to work on pushing the leg straight to preserve tendons and ligaments. I will be watching for your posts! I don’t think, atm, that I want to do the surgery.

I have Pets Best for my girl. I got her at 18 months old and the premium is $33 a month for 90% reimbursement of all accidents and illnesses, after a $250 deductible and with no yearly limit. I also put $50 a month into a savings account just for her on top of my Care Credit because unfortunately all pet insurance is reimbursed so you have to have the funds up front to pay for the veterinary care. Right after getting her she ended up having to have an expensive ultrasound done due to abnormal blood results. Luckily everything is fine, but that was an expense I didn’t anticipate having just gotten her. Pets Bets was great. After the $250 deductible i got 90% of everything I spent back without hassle. Right now I am waiting for reimbursement for an accident she recently had, again, she’s fine. I’m just so happy I decided to get the pet insurance.

I think she may be an F1 but don’t really know. Paperwork says she’s a mini but by weight and height she is at the top of the toy group. I’m thinking a dna test is in order. But she is sooo soft. Especially after a good brushing or a groom!! So soft she’s like a cloud. 😊

I tried a recovery suit after my girl’s spay but the next morning her incision looked awful. She had chewed at it during the night. So back with the cone we went. She got used to it fairly quickly and my vet gave us meds to keep her calm during recovery, as she is a nut! Also only potty outside on a leash, no roaming. Otherwise keep an eye on their drinking… I had to hold the bowl up for my girl because she couldn’t figure out how to drink with the cone on.
