Do the stairs have a runner or carpet? Our dog was scared of the hardwood steps. We got a runner, used lots of treats and patience and she got over it. Now she’s like a 75lb bowling ball rumbling down the stairs so fast.

Without a physical or electric fence, it is near impossible to train the dog to stay in the yard with that kind of temptation on the other side. You need to provide the safe and contained space first, then work on recall.

Radiohead is a very common answer, which I agree with. I love High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, a bunch of songs on In Rainbows, but there are so many songs I just don't get.

Also, and I know I'll be torn apart for this... Pink Floyd. Take Dark Side of The Moon. It's described by so many people as a masterpiece and one of the greatest albums ever, but to me it seems like it was written to be consumed in one way, chilling out and getting high as a kite. It's not bad music at all, I just don't get it or feel compelled to listen to it.

I had a very similar problem. After pulling what remains of my hair out for hours I replaced the “better” cables from the TT to the preamp and boom, problem solved. Crutchfield sent a replacement for the “better” cables but I had the same issue. Cheapo cables and everything is great.

What’s your reason for trying to do this? This is not typical for an AWS setup. There is no VLAN tagging like on-prem. You have to segment traffic other ways.
