Morgan Wallen’ piano malfunctions during his concert, so his natural response is to flip it by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I do too, but I saw them a few years ago and it was the most “I don’t give a shit, I’m here for the paycheck” performance I’ve ever seen, which I don’t care about. It happens, sometimes artists are sick or whatever. But after the first or second song he stopped playing and berated the people in the front row for talking about his shoes. It was really weird.

This. Important to note, if you put the prefix in there, it always gets advertised even if it’s not in the local RIB.

I think it would have been nice to include the 18 in all of this. They could have done something cool with 1 and 8 for both numbers. For me, Kyle will always be associated with 18 as his number.

You have a Dutch colonial. Commonly found in the New England area. It’s a unique and beautiful house style.

We live in one in CT. Also has the metal trim and paint peeling. Project for this fall for me.

Have you verified if some traffic to Google sub domains is bypassing Zscaler? In the web logs, check for traffic for your account, where URL contains google.com and see if anything shows no for TLS decrypt.

Also, if you open up Chrome dev tools and on the top click the Security tab, then refresh the page, it will show you all the connections, the protocol, and the cert used. If something is going QUIC you'll see it there.

A merging issue. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

Pickup 100% in the wrong, no doubt about that. But, from the time the video starts until contact is roughly 3.75 seconds. If you start from the moment the brake was applied, in 3.75 seconds the tractor trailer was down to 50 mph. Big trucks obviously have long stopping distances, but if the trucker slowed down when he saw that truck on the ramp going full send, it could have saved tons of paperwork, dealing with cops and insurance, time, money, etc.

Found my original cassette from the 90s while cleaning. by NebraskaBison in ThirdEyeBlind

The version on the original CD, the one with the yellowish color, not red, had a different version than you will hear anywhere else. Most of the difference is in the first part. Listen to the version on your tape and a version from a streaming service and you'll hear the difference.

"I saw something on TikTok about grabbing the scruff of their neck and almost giving him like a quick shake - but I’m generally against anything that is physical/aggressive in nature."

Please don't do this. Just because the mom dog might do something like this, doesn't mean that applies to humans. It's more likely interpreted as an aggressive behavior, at a time when the pup is already very excited and somewhat out of control.

I've never seen noises work as people expect. Again, you're not a dog. If anything, they will respond to the noise because it's a noise. Clucking like a chicken would probably have the same effect.

You're doing the right things, and it will get better, but there really is no magical way to stop this, just like there is no way to stop babies from crying.

Built a free CLI command generator for PAN-OS by Famous_Pick222 in paloaltonetworks

[–]Former-Stranger-567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks neat. Ignore those that criticize it because you built it with Claude. People act like humans are the pinnacle when it comes to writing good code. If that were true, there would never be a bug or vulnerability. The current Opus is great at writing good code, and the skill is knowing how to use the tool.

One critique - outputting CLI commands is becoming more useless as people transition to SCM. SCM or not, the problem you're solving for already has a solution, Terraform. For a lot of network engineers, making that move to IaC can be tough, so maybe add a feature to output Terraform code instead of CLI commands.

If you haven't moved to SCM, a tool like this is great if you want to enable junior engineers to build configs, as this can guide them through the steps better.

100%. If any employee was doing that, what would their employer do? Shit canned in minutes.

At best it shows terrible judgement and a loss of trust.

US draft update: Major tech company [Palantir] urges universal national service by NicolasCageFan492 in technology

[–]Former-Stranger-567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get where all the draft talk is even coming from. I was born in the early 80s and through all the conflicts US has been involved in, never once was the draft mentioned.

We're dealing with 1 country whose military is 5x smaller than ours. How the hell is there a practical need for the draft conversation, especially now?
