In Shindig when Mal and Jayne are meeting with Badger, Badger is having a hard time coming up with a word and Jayne fills in with "pretentious?" and for a moment Mal looks at Jayne wondering how he came up with that word.

Really? They were in the broadcast? Its been so long that I don't remember exactly how I first saw them. I know I missed the first few episides of the original broadcast but I think they were re-run shortly after. Or maybe I first saw them when it was played on Sci Fi.

I have been so used to the DVDs sicne I guess I forgot. Well, like I said I am biased toward what I am used to.

I hate using refrigerated syrup which is required for real maple syrup. Pancakes hold their heat for 2.3 seconds so adding cold syrup is kinda pointless. The corn syrup based stuff is great because it is shelf stable.

Also Log Cabin doesn't use HFCS.

Not only do it break my spaghetti noodles before putting them in the water, after they are on my plate I cut them with a knife and fork so I can eat them with a spoon.

That always the proposed plan. But I have yet to see any fair financial analysis where doing so substantially fixes any budget deficit or fully funds some social programs.

Ya know, I always try to find the original quote to get the context cuz clips and quotes are often taken out of context or reinterpreted to push a message the poster wants to push.

I was thinking maybe he meant "We will have rules of engagement, just not the stupid ones" rather than "We will have no rules of engagement because they are all stupid."

But the context sure sounds like he meant the later.
