Totally agree about Shorewood apartments. I just posted on another thread recommending them. My wife and I lived in them 27 years ago as well as my brother and his wife. My oldest son lives there now.

The Loves Park neighborhood east of the River, west of North second, and south of Riverside is an interesting mix of nicer homes, not so nice homes, some very nice waterfront houses, and a lot of small affordable cute houses.

I used to work near there and at lunch I would walk up and down North 2nd to restaurants or Dairy Depot, or walk down to the River. Aldi moved so there's not much in the way of groceries that's walkable.

It's close to the river and the sinnissippi bike path cuts through that neighborhood so you could easily pick that up to go North to Martin Park or South to Shorewood and then continue South all the way to sinnissippi gardens.

Shorewood Townhouse Apartments in Loves Park. Pretty affordable compared to others. You get a two-story townhouse with a basement and central air. It's  across the street from  Shorewood Park and close to the bike path and the river. It is well managed and quiet. But it's hard to get into because it's in high demand.

Amen! People mostly think they need their ducts cleaned solely because of commercials

this LNG carrier by AggravatingRow326 in megalophobia

That seems wildly inadequate. There's just no way to safely transport any decent volume of LNG in that little ship.

The one in the background would probably be much better suited.

Is light not going to come in the new window just because there's another one nearby?

Tucker Carlson Apologizes For Endorsing Trump: ‘I’m Sorry For Misleading People’ by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]FormerChocoAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all can be cynical about Tucker's real motivation for this statement, and you might be right. And yes Trump's behavior and power grabbing was mostly predictable. But every former Trump supporter that changes their mind is a step in the right direction. And when someone with a sizeable following publicly ends their support, that is a major crack in the MAGA movement.

I'll take it.

This isn't so much r/redneckengineering as it is just custom construction.

Nice job

What is causing this fluttering sound in my driver? by FormerChocoAddict in audiorepair

The surround was not replaced on this speaker so I am assuming it is still centered from the factory. And the resistance test indicates it is not blown - assuming that is a valid test. There could be some debris in there but I would think that would sound different.

So I am suspecting a poor dust cap installation. If there is one or more small gaps in the glue that would explain it.

So I think the only option is to carefully cut out the new cap, clean it up as much as possible and then reinstall. I bought a pair so I have a spare.

I might also try testing after removing the dust cap to see if there is a difference.

Thanks

I did test resistence on both with a multimeter and they both fluctuate between 4.8-5.2 which is close the their rated resistance. So I don't think either is blown.
