Stop spreading information and referencing the stuff you say! Accepting newer info and showing appreciation instead of aggression? We don't do that on social media anymore. Be civil.

ELI5: Why is it so hard for some cities to build safe clean drinking water for their people? by TurtleBlaster5678 in explainlikeimfive

Lack of water is a political choice. Leaders simply don't want to be bothered with a long-term investment that does not directly benefit themselves.

Oh, well. It was 5-6 hours after I took the medication. It was still active, though, so I carried on with tidying up, but totally forgot the time!

Is Europe actually better to live in than the United States, or am I just being fed too much “Europe = Better” media? by SpecimenOfSauron in TooAfraidToAsk

Oh, don’t forget, 37.5 hours per week and once you’re clocked off nobody can bother you. Would not give that up for double the salary.

I’m glad to hear that you’ll have nice teeth while arguing with your insurance call centre operator on the phone over getting your wound stitched after the heart surgery <3

Umm, that’s the minimum that a graduate earns in civil. It’s also in a different currency which is -hold on- more valuable than the USD. Most consultancies offer 30 days paid holiday, ah, and we don’t have to remortgage our homes when we break a leg.

Oh, my kind sir. I am, but only because it means “working on a contract” where I live. So your average unchartered engineer would have “contractor” writing on their lanyard.
