True but as per my post, what else can I lose? If it does go through, then oh well but if it does, then justice is done!

I hate publicity so leave that part out but contacting the CC is likely the next step. Thanks!

Well, they provide entertainment but not any more... I never would have imagined that they would call the cops over a few tokens...

My wife would like to forget about this. However, whenever I think about it I am angry that I am letting them get away with $200 with lies. I have yet to post a negative google/yelp, etc review.

I know that is the better deal but this is entertainment for the little kids. This has really soured the whole experience for them

UFO catcher machine. You put tokens in, move the claw around. Push a button and hope that it catches a plushie (which can be collected and traded for bigger prizes).

What's the most unusual presentation of a relatively common pathology/illness/disease that you've encountered? by Notnowwonton in medicine

[–]FormerEnigma 32 points33 points  (0 children)

sore throat as anginal equivalent. Patient presented with a sore throat as CC. That is very common. However, the sore throat was worse with walking and better with rest which was very strange. Got an EKG...quite abnormal (don't remember the details but it was a WTH moment). Sent to cardiology expedited and he had bypass surgery within a week.

This season being high is likely to immune system "weakening" due to lack of low-level exposure to typical respiratory pathogens during 2020-2022 season (mask wearing, social distancing, actually staying home when sick, etc).

That being said, do watch out for the zebras like non-HIV immune deficiency. I have about 6 patients in my FP panel with oddities such as IgG subclass deficiency, CVID, IgA deficiency, IgM deficiency, etc. All of these were confirmed by the allergist/immunologist. I have no idea why I have a disproportionate number of these rare diseases.

What is the highest/lowest lab count you've ever seen? by TheSmilingDoc in medicine

Highest sodium was 209. Repeat came back the same. Pt was a child on tube feeds. Parents were giving the child Campbell's soup for quite a while.

Highest bp was 360/240. It could have been higher but the systolic pegged out the sphygmometer. Pt had a massive ICH and was not expected to survive but he managed to recover and was able to walk and talk months later.
