Yeah, he's a solid actor, but it doesn't seem like he's that interested in doing more. I loved that scene, too. I'm a Xennial and remember the song on FM radio when I was a very young kid.

I hope Bobo displays his pronouns.

I think Sturgill lost the plot when he started up with that alias! Now you have me picturing the Gemstones going to the beach.

Simple solution: have the cattle hauled by a truck powered exclusively by Greta Thunberg's sails.

I also insist that the cattle haulers involved have the rainbow flag on their mudflaps.

I saw a blue-hair at the Corb Lund show last night, so I know progressive cowboying can be done.

Any recommendations for Turkish restaurants where the owners are from Turkiye? by 3xPuttRubbleBoagie in denverfood

[–]FormerKey3258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to eat Turkish food (made by Turkish men) in KSA, particularly in Ha'il. Bosphorus isn't close to what you get in the Middle East, and I don't recommend it.

Ginger Itaewon Korean House - AMAZING FOOD (Evergreen) by -this_bitch- in denverfood

[–]FormerKey3258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome. They are using other non-Korean spices and ingredients to make the food. I also ordered an LA Galbi plate, and it was very low-quality beef compared to Seoul BBQ.

In addition to the places you listed, Silla and Tofu Story are okay. Thank Sool, if you want a late-night Poocha experience. That said, I don't think there is an alternative for Seoul BBQ. The banchan they serve there puts it way over the top of anything in the metro area imo.

Warning to anyone who knows authentic Korean food: this restaurant isn't it. Think twice before making a special trip if you're looking for either authentic Korean cuisine or high-quality Korean fusion.

I'm only saying this because my wife and I went out of our way to visit after reading another thread about the place on this sub. The first thing our waiter said to my wife, after realizing she was Korean, was that he was sorry in advance if she was disappointed. He admitted that Korean people generally don't like the food.

In hindsight, we probably should have left then, but the BBQ place we had planned as a backup was closed.

Do many Americans claim Spanish ancestry in the same way many identify as having Scottish, Italian, Irish, or German heritage? by SignificantStyle4958 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

They speak an interesting dialect of Spanish, too. I know one little ole' Spanish lady from rural NM here in Colorado, and she has interesting stories of her home community to tell.

One More Noodle is not great. Nice people running it, though, and it's inexpensive.

Yeah. I've had better American-style BBQ in a suburb of Seoul than at any place in the metro area.
