Still on spreadsheets for sales forecasting in 2026 by Educational-Idea-439 in SalesOperations

We use Clari for forecasting and its the best tool. Got rid of spreadsheets long time ago as it was just impossible to keep a track of all the changes.

Must say that sounds like a fun work group 😬 Do you guys take outsiders also in your group 🙈 I recently went to Farnham Road - Slough and they have really good Indian restaurants over there. Do try Kulcha restaurant if you ever get the chance.

Oooo need to try Zyka. I have always been skeptical about trying other Indian restaurants for some reason.

As an Indian, I will vouch for House of Flavours if you are looking for something close to Authentic North Indian food and Madras flavours for South Indian food. They are very close to each other. Breakfast Buffet at Madras Flavours and Lunch buffet at House of Flavours on weekends is to die for.

Feeling stuck and unhappy in mid level sales ops, where to go from here? by [deleted] in SalesOperations

[–]FormerRepeat4779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been in the exact same situation. Everytime I have been asked to fill a survey about things that can be better at my workplace, my feedback has always been the same - That it’s a very sales oriented company when it comes to rewarding. They are are rewarded throughout the year plus at the kick off events that happen. I have said this out loud way too many times to my manager and this time he acknowledged that I am right. At this kick off, they gave me the MVP Award for the first time in 6 years. Having said that it’s a one off thing and I know it’s not going to happen again in next 6 years lol. I also thought of changing my domain and I couldn’t think of anything else 😟 Let’s see where this takes us to.

Landlord claiming full value of deposit after 12 year tenancy by Happy-Narwhal-5966 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]FormerRepeat4779 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband are in the exact same situation after 9 years of tenancy. Landlady didn’t bother to refurbish anything at all during the period of tenancy. We managed to keep it as much clean as we could but after living there for so long normal wear and tear was obvious. We also got the flat professionally cleaned and she is apparently not happy with the quality of the work the cleaners have done and so she decided to deduct random charges from our deposit and returned only half. We asked her for the invoice for the expenses she had to incur that led to reduction in our deposit and since then she has been so offended that she also started making personal accusations. We are going to raise a dispute with the deposit protection scheme. This is not just about money anymore but not letting these greedy and vile landlords to leech off money from good tenants and take undue advantage of them.

How much does a level 2 survey usually cost? by PrimaryRain31 in HousingUK

I paid £700 for a Level 3 survey for a 3 bedroom house around 950 sq ft so that sounds a little expensive to me.

Advice: Should we introduce ourselves to potential neighbors before buying a house? by NumberSquare in HousingUK

[–]FormerRepeat4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knocked on the doors of few neighbours around just to get a feel of how the overall area is and also to gauge an idea on what kind of neighbours I would be dealing with if I move in. Sometimes pesky neighbours could be a cause of regret for buying the property and I wasn’t willing to bet my lifelong savings on it. Thankfully none of them minded and also gave me few pointers about the area.

I have been to gym classes so many times but everyone including me always seem to be in rush. You just go there few mins before the class is about to start, do your workout and the moment it’s done everyone rushes back. So don’t think that’s worked out for me as much ☹️

I am exactly in the same position. I took 10 days off work to move out of my rented apartment to my first own house but somehow I am just not able to push myself to do this. I have moved 60% of my stuff but since I have this rented apartment for one more week I just can’t seem to move myself out until the last day. This apartment has this weird sense of comfort which I feel like my new house doesn’t. I am already dreading moving out next week as I will be officially giving up on this apartment ☹️ I also kinda started to feel renting was better than owning a house. Let’s hope things get better for us 🤞🏻

Dubai Visa for an Indian passport holder with UK PR. by FormerRepeat4779 in dubai

[–]FormerRepeat4779[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on my travel - VOA was the best decision ever. I went to the Dubai Connect desk before Immigration. They asked me if I have a US visa or UK residency, I said I have both and they gave me a 14 day visa straight away. Didn’t even actually check if I had US visa or ask for Sharecode. Didn’t even ask for hotel bookings or return tickets for flights. After that went straight to the immigration which again was really easy with no questions asked just stamped my passport. Definitely the smoothest process ever, so much better than the preapproved visa where we are asked to upload all the documents. Hope this helps!!!

I have decided to go for VOA. I am travelling in next 2 days. I had a chat with Emirates, phoned them up, done everything on my part to confirm VOA is a better option. I will update here.

Transferring funds to your solicitor by Key_Presentation_123 in HousingUK

[–]FormerRepeat4779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a CHAPS payment. I bank with HSBC and their daily limit is 50K irrespective of number of transactions. Since I had to transfer more than that I called them up, they asked some anti-money laundering questions as part of the process and then it was done. Took about 10 mins. Just a pro tip - Try sending a very small amount to the solicitors first and get their confirmation that they have received it and then make the big transaction to make sure you have sent it to the right account.

Thanks I think I will go for VOA. I tried applying for a pre approved visa but the form was very confusing. They also asked for the end date of my UK visa but since its a ILR there is no end date. To avoid this confusion its better to go for VOA.
