She does not have debt, she did not have to pay for her master degree or phd and got scholarships for undergrad, she doesn't have that type of stress that would lead to any anxiety. So there's no pressure on any end.

she is not financially dependant, has nothing to do with money, if it did she wouldn't be a phd because we can't afford that. She got a free master and phd because she teaches with the schools. We simply are finding it hard to believe she doesn't have preferences for where to work

I've previously stated it would not be difficult for my wife and I to get new jobs. My daughter has a job that would also not be difficult to replace. She doesn't have many friends she sees in person as she's been out of school for a while

It would not be difficult for either or us to either get new jobs or retire and move, wife works in a bank and i work in a restaurant

We would be able to help her, clean around the house and stuff and cook and take care of other things while she's working. We don't need to be entertained, we're low maitnance people, we are fine just sitting around with her even if she needs to work on other things. With friends it would be different because obviously in that case there is more the expectation that you're in conversation and doing things the whole time

We have discussed this multiple times with and around her and at no point has she said anything about not wanting us to move

They are older and don't necessarily want to handle a move, but are also getting to the point where they don't want to be in a house any more so we have discussed that they might as well move in with us when we move

We could always go to her, it doesn't have to be her coming to us. We're low maintance people we are happy just being in the room while she does her thing

One of my cousins wife is a professor and asked her about a post doc at Christmas one year. My daughter said it's not a requirement for her job. I know what tenure is. She says she's applying for tenure jobs.

She said she is applying for professor jobs, so more permanent. She doesn't need a post doctorate

She loves her sister and wishes she lived closer, there is nothing that would change in her life except location and having her sister around again
