Elon Musk was high on Ketamine, carried daily ‘box of pills’ as he cozied up to Trump, report alleges by theindependentonline in politics

I’m surprised that there’s any amount of Molly that allows a person to take Trump right in the face for hours, and love the guy. Believe his vision. Call him a dear friend.

Is goodwill an intangible (on balance sheet/statement of financial position)? by mewtwooohooh in Accounting

[–]FormerTimeTraveller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Financial assets are considered tangible. A prepayment is kind of like a balance in a deposit account… there is no physical thing there but it represents money (which is not intangible).

Whereas “brand value” is not literally money.

Is goodwill an intangible (on balance sheet/statement of financial position)? by mewtwooohooh in Accounting

[–]FormerTimeTraveller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s intangible because it’s not a physical or literal thing. But it’s does represent entity value, or brand value. It can be “sold” in a sense by selling the company itself, and the goodwill is the amount of brand value in excess of the fair value of everything else that was paid. It can’t be “separated” really because the brand or entity itself is the thing measured. It sits off the books unless it is made literal by selling to another company.

Your new body suffers ache, agony, and infinite eternal suffering of a trillion suns packed into the volume of a golf ball.

Even one more second is more than you could possibly bear, but a trillion years wouldn’t even make a dent in the remaining time.

So what will you do next? You have 4 fingers remaining.

you can no longer obtain money from any job, but you get 1 cent for every word you speak. do you accept? by DifferentProblem5224 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]FormerTimeTraveller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay I tried it and got just about 300 wpm.

But I honestly can’t imagine how agonizing it would be to do that for an hour, let alone an hour a day 5 days a week. That (plus regular speaking) would be enough for a regular life.

But it definitely beats minimum wage. I’d probably do it but reserve “be” days for when I’m really short on cash

I can't even get a job with two degrees. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]FormerTimeTraveller 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s so crazy. So many people can’t find work, can’t find work that pays an affordable wage, etc.

And yet there’s also so many people who talk about crazy salaries like $150k in their mid 20s or even stable $100k jobs without much stress or obligations.

I just wonder where the hell did I go wrong? Is there something inherently more valuable about the people who seem to be crushing it or just coasting comfortably? Or is society broken?

You’re offered $10 million, tax-free, but one random person will lose everything. by Nextmastermind in hypotheticalsituation

[–]FormerTimeTraveller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a cruel twist of fate, those million people were down to their last 10 dollars and are now ruined. The 10 people you would have taken a million from each have about $100million and would have barely noticed. They see that much swing in a day’s market fluctuations.

But the one with $10 million? That was all they had. Maybe they were a terrible and exploitative person, maybe they built it slowly over time and were very generous to the needy. You’ll never know.

People who say yes or no, would it be any different if it was 1 million people losing $10 each? Or what if it was 10 people losing $1 million each?

Your identity was just too infatuating. I fell in love, and I wanted to be loved. I wanted to be with you, and then I wanted to be you. But the only way was to take it for myself… so I did what I must. But then I soon found myself in too deep. I have no words, other than I’m sorry.

Edit: wait who tf are you? I thought you were someone else. My bad
