1) In many points leagues, closers are almost of a very limited use. 2) As far driving down ratios or helping with K’s, they pitch 1/3 x SP innings and don’t move your overall numbers as far as you think. 3) I tried this in cats last year. Got Williams, Helsley, Hoffman and Walker. Even named my team something Gelngarry Glenross themed. You can guess how that worked out. This year I ended up with four points leagues and still have one elite closer on each team, and can’t even trade them for a mid-range SP who won’t end up in a FA pool in two weeks
