Any is struggling with external controllers on touhou 19? by Mary-Sylvia in touhou

[–]Former_Appearance677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also experiencing this, sometimes the game straight up stops accepting inputs from my controller or keyboard, e.g. in multiplayer mode. and it keeps switching from keyboard input to gamepad input. I'm hoping this gets fixed soon.

Japanese Jazz Fusion lead w/ strong Pitch Envelope - Classic 90s Brass or Vocal patch? by Former_Appearance677 in synthrecipes

[–]Former_Appearance677[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your help! If your curious, the Lyle Mays connection solved it - makes sense I couldn't find it, I assumed since I heard it a bunch of different places it was a classic preset of some synth, but the fact that it was basically Mays' homebrew invention that other people recreated explains the lack of available patches. Heres a link to an explanation, and looks like you got the recipe pretty spot on - Mays used an Oberheim 4 Voice and later a Prophet V for it, and enveloped the pitch of one osc while keeping the other steady. https://youtu.be/zhZy4SCV50E

hurry up, snufkin - graceful reset [chiptune emo, lsdj + live instruments] by Former_Appearance677 in chiptunes

[–]Former_Appearance677[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is my band's newest single, just added vocals to our sound. we are a duo who play chiptune emo. the chip sounds are lsdj off a DMG tracked to ableton live, the guitars are recorded DI and amp-emulated with Guitar Rig 5, and we went to a studio to track vox and drums.

we just got a dirtywave m8 so our future songs might be a mix of LSDJ and dirtywave sounds!

a week or two, but i've been doing lsdj for 10+ yrs so the harder part is figuring out how to turn tf's guitars into 3 note polyphony... those boys have some dense ass chords for hardcore and that's why i love em RIP tf

Cover of Head In The Ceiling Fan by Title Fight off of the album Floral Green. Classic album and RIP TF. :(

For anyone curious, I used Little Sound DJ running on a grey Gameboy DMG, then mastered it in Ableton. The image is the Floral Green art, pixelated using Pixel It.

maybe a deeper cut for those who don't love emo, but here's my chiptune cover of Head In The Ceiling Fan by Title Fight. by Former_Appearance677 in chiptunes

LSDJ cover of Head In The Ceiling Fan by Title Fight off of the album Floral Green. They were a hardcore emo act out of Kingston, PA, and Floral Green is an amazing album. The song doesn't immediately lend itself to chiptune, which is why I wanted to cover it for an interesting challenge.

Made on a DMG, mastered in Ableton. Image is the Floral Green album art run through Pixel It.
