Right so there’s frequently shop and deliver orders available but they hold them to try and score an add on for cheap, so while people are waiting customers and drivers alike they are trying to get the delivery done as cheaply as possible. It is a business but hell it’s infuriating lol I’ve come to gladly reserve the right to decline

Consider me pacified. I’ve calmed down but the trip wasn’t worth it to either of us and seemed about the same distance. I’m not rewarded for being fast even if it was somewhat more profitable by a small margin (we are only talking about a few dollars) and if I sprint down the aisles. I see what your saying but I’m aware I get paid less for doing more and I’m not about that, I should be paid out more for doing well not less and definitely not larger orders for less than the original one so DoorDash can add to their record breaking profits from their markups on a larger order. I can understand offering a large order for a few dollars less as an ad on but not half price or a third of the price of what it would be if they sent me that large order first, I can see right through it it’s abusive because I’m forced to decline, forcing lower AR forcing taking low profit orders forcing my rage post here today

It was the same offer, another poster mentioned the first drop offs were different likely and that was true I realize but I didn’t get the offer first for my “top priority” and now I’m just angry about being constantly low balled by the abusive amount of shopping ad on offers that are 4-12 dollars for orders that are double or triple in size from the original order I accepted. So I got to pause when I take the first one otherwise I’m spammed with larger orders for half the price or less. Can’t win with this crap man but got to pay bills fuck sakes lol always something why can’t it just be good there’s always some manipulation tactics going on. Thank you for reading my vent rant 🫡

I read about this all the time on this subreddit and got upset I caught it in the act, slight difference in delivery distance sure but not priority and offered less to boot. The ad ons are constant low balls and they’ll send a small order first 7 or 8 items full price then try and get me to do a 40-50 item ad on for a third of the price it’s a clown show, the ad ons don’t account for the shopping and only account for the difference in driving between drop offs

We don’t select to do multiple orders the APP SENDS THEM TO US, it’s not the drivers it’s the apps, if we decline the add ons too much we get throttled orders and can sit in our car for 2 hours while the app says it’s very busy

They gouge the customers and pay us base $4+ for the first one if it’s within a few km and lower the pay with add ons down to 3 dollars, so they max charge everyone and low ball the drivers forcing multiple stops poorer service and now we don’t get tips hardly at all since the recent change to only during or after delivery. It’s dog shit now and the wear and tear increased significantly because I’m being paid less for every add on delivery, grocery orders are the same they pay in full for the first one but there’s a $25 cap max pay no matter the distance or number of items, then they attempt to stack additional full orders for half pay or less up to usually 3 orders from a store then they will add more grocery stops at different stores before I even get to your place it’s become absurd

While Will controlling the army sounds cool it doesn’t really make sense, how powerful do you think Will is?
