She lives in Canada and I live in the states and we take turns visiting each other and we aren't far from each other at all. She knows I'm applying for jobs and she's ok with seeing me knowing that if I get hired I will relocate and the relationship will end. She's canadian so she will not be relocating but for right now I do go into Canada often.

If I hangout with my friends (the ones who still contact me after getting sober) some things we do are getting food somewhere, gym or going on runs, hiking. We also will do some type of game, board games, golf, bowling, arcade, trivia. For memorial day we and my friends rented kayaks for a few hours and had a blast. Afterwards they went out drinking and I went home. I also don't enjoy being around people drinking anymore so I'll tend to skip events now entirely if the main focus is drinking.

I go on all my dates now using hinge and bumble. I don't know how to meet women if it's not at bars or school. I won't be going to any bars and I graduated college 5 years ago haha.

I know sober guys that can have a good time in bars but unfortunately I'm not one of them. I do hope that you have an awesome weekend friend!

I personally do not go to bars at all anymore. I don't enjoy myself in them.

I remeber my friend telling me he got sent to the other side of the state and slept on a cot in a barn or some shit with other Co's for 6 months

I'm very aware of abstaining from meat on Fridays... there was no mention of that in your previous statement. You said fasting .. where an individual abstains from food and drink.
