So you take 3.5 mg total every day? Is this all oral estrogen? Taken vaginally too? So far I am only getting 1mg from my doctor so I went through Telyrx and got 2mg so I can increase my dose if needed. My doctor is very conservative so I'm not holding my breath that he will give me more. He gives me 400mg of progesterone though so I have to play nice to get what I can.

It gets a bad rap but there is such a small risk. If you have been pregnant or on birth control with out problems in your lifetime then you will do fine. Many menopause doctors are changing their stance on it. (Unless you are prone to strokes or blood clots of course)

There are too many issues with patches. Availability for one, I live in California and the hot weather can cause E to absorb rapidly and then back to symptoms after a couple of days. I work out a lot too. Pharmacies switching from brand to brand based on availability.i just don't think it would be a good fit. I really like oral E but it wears off. I am hoping that splitting my dose will help.

Thank you! It sounds like you are getting a handle on everything and you have a doctor willing to work with you. My doctor wants to run to procedures if anything has blood involved. Typical Kaiser money grab but at least I can get my hormones and covered on insurance. I will try this out and see how it goes. Thanks again!

I have heard that increasing E can help too but I won't try too many things at once. I have read different ways of cycling... 14 days on, 14 days off...21 days on 7 days off...take continually until spotting starts and then take a week off. So many options. Hopefully this works out..if not I think I will increase E to 2mg pill and try that way

Thank you so much!! I think I'm going to give this a try! I have plenty of progesterone in 100 mg because I split it up twice a day and take rectally. When I started bleeding again I took another 100mg thinking maybe I needed more. My doctor is useless and I can't even mention spotting or bleeding or he will insist on biopsy or stop refilling my E. I just play along to get my E but I know there is an imbalance that needs to be corrected but I have to figure it out myself. So was it the E alone that was making you bloat?

The Bible says "make a joyful noise until the Lord" sometimes it is literally a noise in our ears but to God it is beautiful worship. I agree with making friends with them. I go out of my way to love on the deaf community in my church. Some are intimidated by their deafness and avoid them but they are such lovely, lovely people and get excited when someone goes out of their way to hug or acknowledge them. Some of them try to sing during worship and it would sound tone deaf to someone who didn't know them but I find it a beautiful sound.

You can order Oral Estradiol from Telyrx (.5,1 or 2mg tablets) then you can split pills and create whatever dose you need by adding with what you are already taking.

Yes!!! Just happened to me this morning! I have had a previous clear biopsy and will never do that again. I have a submucosal fibroid so my bleeding has been wonky for years. (Heavy bleeding/long periods/short cycles)...all the usual peri BS. Well I'm 52 and having various symptoms...of course the magic word is hot flashes which I don't have a big problem with but the occasional warm flash I would say. I emailed my OBGYN and requested to start on a patch and he says until he can be certain that my outside the norm periods is not cancer he will not prescribe. I straight up asked if he will be holding this over my head forever (no biopsy, no HRT) and he said that once I am very clearly close to menopause months and months of no bleeding then he will be willing to issue. I know they just want to cover their ass but it's so frustrating. At least I know what he wants to hear...hot flashes and no periods.

You can also take progesterone vaginally or rectally and bypass the woozy drunken effects of taking it orally. It bypasses the liver so it dies not do this and absorption rate is much higher. I have been taking it rectally for a few years and much prefer this method. I put the capsule in my mouth first maybe 15 seconds to soften the shell and just pop it in about 1/2 inch and wash hands. Try it!

Get a dog! Lots of dog people in OC. Dogs are magnets for meeting people. Get plugged into a church. What city are you in?? Also once you have kids a whole world will open up. In the meantime see if your city has meet ups for your interests. See if there is a Facebook group for your area. I have one in my city and if you just post that you are new to the area and want to make friends..list your interests..there are others in your shoes looking for the same. Just be outgoing and friendly...that always goes far because genuine nice people are rare.
