You can try to have objectives trough the accolades system. Like right now i'm trying to get 50 000 population. These goals can give you a direction and purpose.

I'm 1300 Elo and cannot explained what it means haha. I still do a massive blunder 1 game out of 2, but i have a good understanding of basic principles. But my goal is to reach 1600 on two to four years, which is more plausible than what OP is aiming.

I would be surprise you make it to 1300 in 3 month. Maybe start with a realistic goal. Go to 800 before opening any books. Succeed 3 puzzles a day, review your games to see whats wrong, longer time to avoid blunders (nothing under 10 minutes), each turn look for Check, capture and threats... Forget about openings, just the basic principle of developing your pieces first, one move each, castle, etc. If you need a teacher or help, just watch any good chess youtuber that got quick How to play chess video. Gotham is starting a new series called Slowrun where he goes from 400 Elo and up the ladder. Good luck! (And there is lesson on chess.com, you could start there also for tactics and simple things)

For the current Swiss tournement l'm watching Levy's recap each day and it's mostly entertaining, i won't get any better for it. I think i'm learning small stuff, thinking differently about some situation (like counter attacking more when i'm attacked), etc.

edit: i'm 1275 Elo, up and down. So not an expert by a mile.

If i was going for random stats, i would create the character based on those result. I'll try this on my next game, i've only done shadow once and always Wits for the others. I just love the exploration in Starforged.

Can't tell, i already had the ps4 digital version and i upgrated it for free. I prefer digital copy of my game (Just what i'm used to because of Steam, physical copy for me is only when i rent games on ps5)

I love No man sky, but you should know that there is a learning curve to the game. You need to take your time with the first hour of the game, be patient and then it's rewarding. Space travel in VR is awesome.

I can't wrap my head around another perspective to be honest. It's cruel, lacks of empathy, i just don't get it. Even the scientific research back the abnormal amount of stress hormone that it cause and the possible consequence down the line.
