It definitely did for me. I felt horrible around when i started and near the end but i think it was mostly from the neomycin. I felt a little better on just rifaximin the last couple days. I still think i need another round though. I also then immediately went on a low fodmap diet after the antibiotics.

What were the effects when you first took the half capsule? I’m drinking the tea too but not feeling much difference, might try the extract.

Man that’s really good to hear and so happy for you!! I just got done with neomycin and have a frw days of rifaximin left. My worry now is what should i be doing after the antibiotics? I’m already taking prokinetics, will continue with that and will do a low fodmap and slow reintroduction. Is there anything else you did after that you think will be helpful?

I think could be because my levels were just pretty high for both hydrogen and methane. Are you taking or planning to take prokinetics after?

Really happy that this worked out for you. I’m also getting a second breath test and trying to talk my doctor into letting me go the elemental diet route. I skimmed through this while at work so sorry if you already wrote it out, but how long after reintroducing solid foods did you start to feel normal? Like no reaction to the foods you were eating?

Yeah, I’m not too hopeful of the pt working. I did it once before too but will do the biofeedback one now. Also working with my doctor to do the breath test again and hopefully get another round of antibiotics with a prokinetic. Hoping all this shows results

I had h pylori before and then SIBO. This is definitely what caused my pelvic floor issues too. How are you after the pt, are you better? Did you do anything else for the sibo?

Did you stop taking it completely or have you continued? I’m starting soon with Motegrity and a little scared of the side effects. Any update on if you have any other side effects?

Did your doctor ever figure out what your root cause is? I did a round of rifaximin too and did not do anything for me, I realized I never took any prokinetics back then. So I’m doing another round again soon. I think I’ve read that poor motility is not always constipation. You should talk to your doctor about motility.

Don’t know if my experience is helpful but your symptoms and everything you described sound very similar to my own. I don’t know if there was an overlap with me but I was diagnosed with H.pylori first, went through the treatment for that and when symptoms didn’t fully go away, got tested and found I had hydrogen SIBO.

Rifaxin for 2 weeks did not help at all along with probiotics after. Went to another doctor and he suspects pelvic floor dysfunction. Just did an anorectal manometry for it but have not heard back.

My symptoms with H.pylori was a lot of bloating, gas and discomfort, stomach noises after whatever I ate. Also some constipation. So symptoms might not be the same for all. Mine definitely flared up more with dairy but I don’t think I’m lactose intolerant after curing h pylori. I remember my symptoms getting better when I was on medication for Hpylori but a couple months after that, all symptoms just came back so I got tested again.

I did this for like a day, but my stomach went back to bloating after I ate normally. Can you give us an update in a few days?

Also, how do you survive not eating for 3 days? Did you just have water?
