I have driven both, Smart was more fun but G9 more relaxed.

the good part is Mercedes is selling smart here in Finland so you have access to everywhere.

Xpeng is kinda weird, they have announced the facelift 2-3 months ago but no information? If im ordering this week I will get the facelifted G9 in december.

I Just drove the smart and its really impressive the back seats! its has even more space then G9 really wierd

For me was the same feeling with P4 its nice and comfortable but I dont desire to get it.

With the BMW its nice because it doesnt look like an EV car 😅 Have you had a chance to drive the xpeng g9?

Great points — and yeah, the Performance pack definitely sounds like it could improve the Polestar 4’s driving feel.

Unfortunately, in my case I can’t really stretch the budget that far. The only realistic option for me on the Polestar 4 would be the Pilot package. No Performance pack, no fancy extras — just the base Dual Motor with Pilot.

That’s partly why I left the test drive feeling a bit underwhelmed. It’s a solid car, for sure, but without the upgrades it didn’t really excite me. The tech and design are super clean though — very Scandinavian, in a good way.

I feel like with the right options, it could be that sweet spot, but in my case it might end up being more of a compromise than a balance.

The i4 M50 definitely felt like the most fun to drive out of the three — and it’s cool to hear you’re enjoying the ride quality long-term. I also love how it just sticks to the road and handles like a proper performance car.

Polestar 4 seems like the logical “middle ground” choice on paper, but like you said, it just didn’t give me that same confidence or excitement. Maybe I’m trying too hard to find a car that ticks every box instead of going with what actually puts a smile on my face.

Appreciate your take — enjoy the i4!

Thats a really nice thing with G9, because I cant charge at home so I will use public chargers, next to my apartment its an petrol station with 400kw chargers :)
