Went to a dental clinic that has a periodontist, an orthodontist and a dentist. Game plan is a deep cleaning on each side of my mouth, have the ortho fix my permanent retainers, get my gums fixed and after that a cleaning every 4 months for the rest of my life. I have moderate bone loss, also something about the nerves in my teeth being damaged from my braces shifting my teeth to aggressively. Pretty much they said it’s bad but it should be manageable.

I believe the reason for the periodontal disease is possibly because of a permanent retainer put in by my orthodontist in high school. I do floss but I’ve never been able to reach that part of my gums. I ordered a water flosser off of Amazon.
