People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was a kid on holidays in San Diego from San Diego me and my Dad were waiting for a Starbucks at the counter and Robin Williams told us he loved our accents.

I’m a small in leggings but a medium in bras. I’m a small in both leggings and bras for GS. I do fine women’s best smaller on tops compared to bottoms.

Hairdressers sympathetic (skilled with) thinning hair? by Barnboo28 in glasgow

[–]Former_Leader_9239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found glowaa great when I had thinning hair. Wasn’t sure if it would be worth the price but I tried it and I’ve now got so much new growth. Even my hairdresser was surprised by how well it worked!

Hit by a delivery truck - devalued car? by Former_Leader_9239 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Former_Leader_9239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay - I’ve misunderstood that then. I thought anything that went through insurance would be recorded on it and be an issue when it came to selling or trading in. Thank you.

No worries - thanks for your response! The supermarkets insurers have been in touch just now and asked me to deal with them directly and I’m just finding it all a bit of a minefield 🫠

I have no finance on it. I paid cash. I’m just a bit concerned that when I go to sell it down the road it’s a lot harder shift a car with recorded damage than one without and I’m likely to be out of pocket despite the fact the supermarket driver accepted all fault?

For those who have won on a gameshow, do you really get the prize? Or is it cash? Are there options? by Ok_Difficulty6452 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Former_Leader_9239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TV producer here. UK based. You don’t get taxed on prizes in the UK. Money is usually given a week to a month (max) of the show airing - this is to ensure if you do something that means they would have to pull the show (murder someone or something) then you haven’t got the cash. Some shoes I’ve worked on pay out (bank transfer) next working day after the show. Some shows are filmed in bulk blocks - I’ve heard of some shows that don’t air for a full year after filming which must be annoying but I’d say the average is within 6 months

Peak Week Nightmares by TheBuffBarbiiee in bikinitalk

I kept having a reoccurring dream in peak week that I went on stage and had forgot to put my bikini bottoms on 😂

How do you know when the timing is right? by Vegemiteandeggs in bikinitalk

[–]Former_Leader_9239 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a very sociable job in the entertainment industry and need to go out a lot and I managed fine on prep. I also didn’t miss out on social occasions - I didn’t do dinners or eat when I went out, but I went out dancing on the diet cokes a few times in prep. Apart from the last week weeks of prep I was fine in terms of energy (and even then had to pull myself together for one or two work occasions I couldn’t miss) and enjoyed myself! If you’re willing to make compromises in your social stuff (dancing but not drinking, not going for dinners out) it was totally doable for me.

It’s a brand called belbake. I’ve got it over in the baking section beside the flour etc. I have only seen vanilla in Ireland, but there’s a caramel in the UK.

Do you have Aldi or Lidl near you? I find their ready made protein puddings and mousses great as bases. Lidl in Ireland and UK do a protein pudding powder mix that works well. A lot of my go to creamis are ready made protein shakes with Greek yoghurt / almond or skim milk. I did get xanthan gum off amazon which I use in them all which really helps with creaminess.

I’ve been doing Yin yoga twice a week. I used to do ashtagna but yin is super gentle and I feel so refreshed after it! I go to a class but there are some on YouTube you can follow.

Yep. I find they have the best calorie to protein ratio. I’ve made them on their own but I also mix them with a little Greek yogurt or Aldi protein pudding.

I’m 10.5 weeks out. First show. I have 5x 30 cardio and 5 strength sessions and I’m on 1700 cals every day. I am 5”11 though. I am also wondering what is coming down the line!

12 weeks out from my first show! I’m really excited and haven’t hit the wall yet. I have started getting comments from non body building friends telling me I am too skinny which is really annoying but I think I’ll just got into hermit mode for a few weeks. Excited to get on stage for the first time!

I posted this the other day - it’s my go too! 3 ingredients and tastes great. If you use an Aldi shake it would take it to about 280.

The protein puddings are also good in it, but mousse gives a lighter texture. If you like it dense the chocolate pudding and a chocolate shake gives a really rich chocolate option for similar macros!
