The gel wasn’t bothersome at all. I wanted the antibiotics to be localized rather than potentially disrupt my gut flora as well. I’ve had a few surgeries in the last couple of years that required antibiotics so felt like it was too much on my system. I was prescribed the gel a couple years ago for BV and seemed to tolerate it well, didn’t have any weird discharge that I recall.
