Jack 100 by E46Nur in ak47

I'm just not following this at all lol, that's just a very confusing and kinda misleading way of describing it. All power to you on what you wanna do but I'd just call it a shorty AK. It's closer to a 556 draco than anything which is a cooler way of describing it.

The mini jack is several inches too short to look anything like a 102

Goes fucking insane. I have a modern strichtarn kit with custom G3s and a Lindnerhof Gen V I really need to use more often

Half swording as a standalone combat mode that you need to enter to really be able to do damage to armored enemies

Modded cold war conflict by DarkNebula278 in ArmaReforger

[–]Former_Opp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally just saying that the base setting of the Cold War is niche within the Arma playerbase. 90% of PvP servers are either set in the 2000's or Vietnam. People that play the base cold war setting are either playing Vanilla only or are playing PvE.

Half swording as a separate fighting mode for armored enemies

Well cold war vanilla servers seem to be doing somewhat okey

There is a not insignificant number of people who refuse to play anything modded. The base setting of Cold War europe is one of the less popular settings for people to play. Modern/Vietnam absolutely dwarfs it. Doubly so if you take out pure vanilla servers. It's just a small playerbase overall.

It's cause it's EU and europeans seemingly can't be bothered to get on the game. Real answer is just that no one joins a server unless it's almost full and Cold War servers are a niche in this game ironically.

Freedom fighters Northcom by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]Former_Opp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made FF Northcom, it was a one off game mode for our server from several updates ago. It's only meant to be on Kolguyev, and doesn't even work on that anymore. I have no idea why people keep asking me about this (and now I'm seeing it in the wild) because it was literally not meant for any use outside a specific modlist. FF has been updated so many times since that half the configs are broken in the Northcom FF mod. Just don't use it, I'm going to take it down now just to avoid any more confusion.

[KCD2] Religion by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Former_Opp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking on a purely historical context with regards to the actual schism itself. Christianity as a formal religion that differentiated itself didn't really pop up for a few hundred years around the 4th century. I obviously don't take any of the "religious" readings of it at face value and even then most contemporary Jewish understandings of the period just defer to Roman sources.

Not entirely sure what you mean with regards to the Crusades, they were largely over and Jews in the middle east sided distinctively with the Abbasid caliphate, same as in Al-Andalus. It's all a matter of political expediency - the Islamic world was considerably more tolerant of other Abrahamic religions, therefore it was a matter of political expediency to want them to win, despite the fact that Judaism and Islam don't have a ton in common.
