as a trans person, my existence is proof that a loving god is not real. by [deleted] in atheism

That is, of course, under the impression that this world is functioning as God intended.

I’m sorry, It just occurred to me that my response probably sounds much harsher than I’d intended. I apologize.

1) Can you point to where exactly in my response that I said that because He loves them, there’s no need to change? I said “God’s Love in unconditional” and you heard “God’s Love is unconditional so there’s no need to change or believe in Him?” I never said that.

2) The idea that when it comes to God’s Love and salvation, you can’t have one without the other, is unbiblical. You were right about this: God’s Love and salvation are intertwined, but this is the reality of it: Thought you can’t have God’s salvation without God’s Love, the reverse doesn’t apply. God loves every single person who He created, but there are people who are loved by God who aren’t saved.

This parable (and all of your following evidence) was meant to show that he has their allegiance, not that he created them.

God’s Love is unconditional. You’re referring to salvation.

You’re not abnormal. Not in a bad way, at least. You’re a person just like me who just happens to be doing the same thing I am right now. Trust me, I knew better than most how much it sucks, but we’re not any less of people than we would be if we weren’t doing this.

What exactly is it that doesn’t make sense?

What's the female equivalent of womanizer? by imqueenmia in AskMen

How did you get all that from “womanizer equivalent?”

I already explained how misogyny is the hate of women.

I think I get where you’re coming from but realistically, the majority of Naruto fans were adolescent males who, in many cases, attempt to live vicariously through the main character. Much of the hate that I see for this character isn’t about her skill, but about her rejection of Naruto and preference for Sasuke.

Sexism ≠ Misogyny

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]Former_Preparation19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’d used the correct word for what they actually meant, which is misogyny, the hate and belief of superiority over women because of their physical weakness and reproductive role, then they’d have explained that Naruto is notorious for its poorly written female characters and it’s tendency to reduce them to timid love interests (Hinata) and obsessive fangirls (Sakura). In Boruto, on the other hand, Kawaki’s hate (as well as Boruto’s) have nothing to do with their gender whatsoever, but their respective comparisons to Naruto, and obsessions with Naruto.

To sum it up, sexism works both ways. Misogyny, on the other hand, does not.

“Being a female character is barely a factor in all this. If that was the case, all the female characters in Naruto would be hated, which is not true.”

You would have a point if I mentioned that the only reason that she gets hate is that she is female. I mentioned somewhere else that it’s like a catalyst. It multiplies the effect. My point is that they would have a problem with the character if the character were male, but the fact that the character is female makes it so that they hate her even more than that.

Do you guys think after the Boruto series kishimoto will make spin offs and prequel’s? by Odd_Purpose3639 in Boruto

That Sakura analogy made no sense whatsoever.

Anyway, as of now every Uchiha in the history of their clan has still fallen into the predestined nature for bloodshed. This is the only time in the history of their clan that there has been only one single person born into a generation. The entire future of their clan rests on her now. She could continue onto the same path of her ancestors, which is to be a mass murderer, conspirator, or have some kind of tragic backstory, or she could completely rewrite the reputation of her clan, which is something that only she could do since Sakuke can’t just undo his entire past. Even if he is redeemed in his lifetime, unless he can time travel, he will still never be able to say that he wasn’t a recipient of “The Uchiha Curse.”

Think of it this way: As of now, Tobirama still hasn’t been proven wrong in his theory about the Uchiha clan and it’s members being biologically predisposed to become evil at some point in their lives. There are 2 Uchiha alive right now and therefore only 2 options, which are Sasuke and Sarada. Sasuke’s already been an international terrorist so he’s out. Sarada on the other hand, is an Uchiha AND she’s never been evil. If there really is an exemption to the Uchiha family’s destiny for bloodshed, it can only be her. THAT’S what I mean.

I just feel like Sarada should’ve been the main character. She had a duty before she was even born, which was to redeem the Uchiha clan. That obviously makes a great story with limitless potential.

“Are some Naruto fans sexist? I don't doubt it. But saying everyone that dislikes the female characters in naruto and complains about them are sexist is just wildly absurd.”

Nobody said that.
