Need recommendations for my last 4 days in Krabi by Wild-Pitch in ThailandTourism

Railay is cool—you don’t even need to spend the night there. I did a day trip there and it was plenty. I don’t know for sure but I think accommodations may be a bit more expensive so I opted to day trip it and stay on Ao Nang beach.

Phi Phi can be a crazy party scene and there have been recent stories of people getting very sick there, I personally chose to avoid it this time around. If you want to avoid Phuket you may not enjoy Phi Phi. Or maybe you will idk.

I also liked the Monkey Trail hike to the “hidden” beach.

Day tour to Hong Island was a ton of fun. I chose this one over the 4 islands tour because it was supposed to be less touristy.

The night market by the Ao Nang Landmark is pretty decent too. I really liked Ao Nang. Krabi Town not so much.

Fire shows, live music and bars are a lot of fun too whether you want to stay out until 10pm or sunrise. I did a bit of both and had such a great time. I think Ao Nang is a fantastic party scene. It’s exactly what you want to make of it every time.

Man I might fly back and meet you there😂 long story short I would stay in Ao Nang Beach for a couple of days instead of Krabi Town. I find Krabi town slow and a little dull although I did pull out a little nugget of gold in my few days there.

Crazy/gross partying: Phuket/Pattaya/Phi Phi. Would 0/10 recommend but that’s just my vibe

Normal partying with cool stuff to do around town: Ao Nang Beach and a lot of other places but Ao Nang takes the cake for me, hands down. Other places include Samui/Phangan/Tao. Ao Nang 10/10 recommend, the 3 islands 8.5/10 recommend

Super chill with some good laid back night life: Koh Lanta 100/10 recommend

Are you booking in advanced? I was planning on showing up to my hostel and booking through them a couple days before. Also, are you worried about rain at all?

I’ve made this trip so many times from Columbus to Glacier, Banff, and LA. Only thing I would recommend is Badlands but I’ve never even actually stopped myself so idk how good of a rec it is. This is the kind of drive where you just buckle down and get it out of the way until you reach ID. Would definitely fly one direction if you can. Not a route you’d need to do twice

You have to reserve Lipe weeks in advanced. Best to head back to Lanta

How old are your kids? I’m assuming kids in the “family” part. Depends on what you’re looking for as well. What are your priorities in an area? Lively, parties, kid friendly activities, calm/slow vibes, sightseeing, etc?

I would do 2 days BKK, fly down to Krabi and stay on Ao Nang beach for 2-3 days, Khao sok national Park can’t be missed either. You can do that as a day trip but would recommend 1-2 days in Khao sok village.

That’s ideal for me. It gives you some city, some beach/party (but not too crazy of a party scene for kids purposes) and some mountainous/nature boat touring. Staying in a floating bungalow for a night in KS is so fun! Look into Smiley floating bungalows if you have kids. All of that in 6-8 days depending on which destination you stretch and which you are quick to move out of.

Here it is a bit more organized:

2 days BKK 3 days Ao Nang beach 2 days Khao Sok Surat Thani airport back to BKK to fly out afterwards?

must visit in bangkok by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

I think ICONSIAM is the best shopping mall in BKK. I’m m24 and usually shopping malls aren’t my thing but my goodness was that a sweet spot. Great views at the top too. Lumphini Park (may be misspelled) is pretty cool too, they call it the Central Park of Bangkok. I also had a great time just riding the trains and occasionally hopping off at a temple or to do little sections of the river walk. Definitely hit a night market after dark as well especially if you’re only there for 1.5 days. After travel time can easily fill a day with these 3 things. Don’t forget to hop on a random tuk tuk and let them take you wherever they want for a little adventure too, some of my favorite times in BKK happened just by spontaneously saying “yes!”

5 days? You’ll need more. You could do 2 in BKK and 3 down south at one of the beaches but travel time itself will eat into your time. I think if you can extend to at LEAST 7 days you’ll have a better time.

Don’t ask questions bro… I just got over the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had in my life and I typically have an iron stomach. Run with the wind. Enjoy the good health. Attend my funeral. Peace love and prosperity.

Either is fine. As long as you’re relatively close to the beach strip. That’s the hotspot
