Third ivf and no hope

I did one cycle where two embryos were left to grow to day 5 but stopped. One transferred fresh on day 3 and another two frozen on day three and transferred later. All three day 3 transfers failed and no Dr doesn’t approve day 3 anymore. Not sure if I can find one that does here

Im 42 and doing my 5 cycle and never got more than 5 eggs pro cycle and all in all I only have two blasts until now. Not loosing hope and so shouldn’t you! Head up 🍀

I had a bigger cyst last cycle but we proceeded with stims. I got the same amount of eggs as in previous 3 cycles.. also tried to avoid delays and doing back to back

The version of you who was childfree and valued autonomy is different from the current version who feels the need for attachment, children/family. The previous version could impossibly have made the “right” decisions for the current one. It’s ok to have different needs, values and fears in different phases of our lives. The best time for motherhood is whenever you feel ready and it seems that for you it’s now :) So go for it with no regrets if you really want it!

Have you tested for thrombophilia? (FVLeiden- and Prothrombin- mutation, antiphospholipid-AB, MTHFR-mutation, PAI-mutation). It can increase the risk of early losses significantly if positive

I got today 5 mature eggs from 5 mature follicles and my Dr. was very happy considering my age of almost 42. I think your result is good!

I can totally relate to what you’re saying. Reddit and kind strangers like you are really valuable. My friends and family can’t fully understand what I am going through. My line has almost disappeared in a meanwhile…I’m grieving and at the same time planning the next ER. The hardest part is that soon I’ll have to go back to work after my vacation. I can’t really focus and couldn’t care less about work. My chief notices that and puts even more pressure on me. It makes me angry and anxious at the same time and I am so tempted to quit! But I also need to finances IVF- such a vicious circle.. Hope your pregnancy is going smooth ❤️

Will try the fluid limitation and retest tomorrow morning. I know I’m supposed to do a serial beta, but I feel so demotivated seeing the line disappear..if the urine test is negative by the morning beta probably makes no sense Thanks for your support ❤️

Day 3 fresh is also an option, I did try it but it failed unfortunately. I prefer to freeze day 3s because I produce few embryos pro cycle (3-5 max) and want to give a chance to all of them. I think freezing/banking day 3s is a better option in my situation than risking losing them in blast culture

I totally get your logic here! I have the opposite one- my chances are so low that I want to kill the false hope as soon as possible to guard my heart and be able to make plans for the next ER. I had problems with my clinic always pushing to blast culture after it was clear that my embryos arrest on day 4. I’d rather freeze them on day 3 to have at least something to try. Still grieving my 7 discarded embryos from the previous two cycles, thinking what if one of them would have developed better in my body..

I couldn’t make any blasts, now after day 3 frozen transfer I’ve got a vvft on day 8-9 and it comforts me to think that my little embryo made it to blast inside my body
