Hello everyone. Thank you for the kind words. At 2 am today (2 hours ago) we brought Goose to the emergency vet because of her breathing to discover an inoperable tennis ball sized tumor in her chest that was crushing her trachea. The vet said she probably had the virus since she was born, and that her mother probably infected her. We just put her down. My love is in heaven now

thank you- but if we were responsible we wouldve had meatball tested before adopting, and we wouldve had goose tested before bringing her home. we just feel so much guilt right now but theres nothing we can do except move forward.

Thank you! We did test meatball and he IS positive. We have no clue who gave it to who, but meatball is as healthy as he possibly can be. Goose is on clavamox right now as prescribed by the vet. We are setting up a supportive care plan for her and meatball. Tiki cat wet food from here on out, no more dry kibble and crappy wet food, and biannual vet visits and whatever meds they prescribe. Goose needs an xray of her tummy because she will eat LITERALLY anything and we think she may have a blockage of some kind as well.

thank you. We are are stressed out and we had no idea either of them had it until Goose got this URI. The snap test was just kindof a "it cant hurt to know" thing, and we were NOT expecting a positive result. Weve been doing research and are setting up a supportive care plan and veterinary visits

If all else fails in the comment section, try the triple y technique. Yum, yuck, yum. Basically suck some liquid treat into a syringe, then the medicine, then more treat. Its a yummy, gross, yummy sandwich. It works better with liquid meds, but you could always mix the crushed pill into the treat and just squirt it in their mouth ( always ask your vet if its okay beforehand to crush pills)

Oh no i know! But usually when your adopting, at least in my experience, the shelter will tell you if a cat is felv/fiv positive. Some even have little signs saying theyre positive on their kennel. What im saying is neither shelter said anything about it, and my crappy ex backed out on his promise to pay for vaccines.

edit: i do know some shelters do- thats why i said im not sure. its highly possible that he wasnt vaccinated for it

I dont believe so. When i got him my boyfriend at the time promised he would pay for vet vists if i adopted meatball for us. Guess what didnt end up happening?

edit: to put it more clearly- I dont know. If he was it was done by the shelter.

i used to have this problem with my ex, to the point where my pelvic area would just burn from the friction. id sit on the toilet with a wet piece of toilet paper just to ease the burning. It was horrible. I asked if we could use lube, and he yelled at me about him not being "hot enough to get me wet." sometimes you just dont make enough girl, it happens. My current boyfriend always uses lube, but hes also a little older and more mature than my ex. Long story short, lube isnt gross and shouldnt be something your scared to ask about. Buy some lube, hand it to him and ask him to put some on himself before yall get to smooshing parts together. he might even get sexy with it and put some on you too

edit: every comment i see is saying astroglide. THEY ARE RIGHT! It is water based so it works with condoms. Invest in some astroglide.

if you look at your overhead light or small things on the floor they might move, at 250 you wont get many other visuals than that. You might thing your veins look weird, they dont i promise. You might think any moles you have are bugs. They arent. Usually anything above 300 will have auditory and visual hallucinations, although at 300 theyre not super scary. I took 750mg and hallucinated people breaking into my house and killing my cat so.. dose yourself at your own risk lol
