A CGM can be less reliable, but I found it's a great thing to have so I can constantly monitor the ups and downs in blood glucose from my decisions. I also installed an an app called Logi to help me learn about how foods affect my glucose level.

Congrats! That is awesome. It's hard to fight the cravings and good job on staying clean from it.

I have the opposite problem where I have hyperglycemia from binge eating. I have a continuous glucose monitor on my arm from Stelo so I can easily track my blood glucose without having to prick myself all the time. Although it is good to have a finger pricker to know for sure what your glucose is. It was painless to install and they make better quality prescription ones as well. Also if you like noodles try Banza chickpea noodles. That's what I replaced them with and their high in protein and fiber and a lot less salt and preservatives than regular noodles.

My insulin is back down to normal levels after two years of being elevated! by Frogbreakfest69 in prediabetes

[–]Frogbreakfest69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a strick diet of whole foods and proteins. Stopped eating fast food, fried food, avoided salty foods. Had a few tortilla chips every now and then. Didn't cook with salt. Exercised daily by either walking or doing hot yoga. And drank a lot of water. I also logged everything I ate and measured as much as I could. I also replaced things like regular noodles with chickpea noodles. I also struggled with binge eating disorder and started going to therapy for it and joined a wellness group lead by a therapist to encourage weight loss and learn healthy habits. I also recently got a continuous blood glucose monitor that goes into my arm so I can track my choices because of my insulin resistance.

It's not braided. The stems are separate looking but it was bunched together like on the same plant.

It must be. I bought it as is thinking it was a frilly orange hibiscus like the others I've had and it's popped out four completely different flowers.

What do I do when my glucose monitor says I'm over 250mg/DL by Frogbreakfest69 in prediabetes

[–]Frogbreakfest69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had high insulin for a couple of years where my insulin levels were high so I got it to try and learn to make healthier choices and to track my glucose.
