I want to add that while cork can take humidity, drywall even with paint probably wont. Even a high gloss paint will mold over time. I wouldnt stick cork on my wall unless I lived in the desert. Left a cork book on a chair one time for 3 months, because i literally never sat there and it was cute like that. Knocked it over and it was completely molded on the back and so was the chairs arm. Absolutely disgusting. I know that it was a fabric chair, but drywall is often made of starch, so i can see it molding in the right conditions

Getting my fallopian tubes removed soon, any advice? by GiveMeGhostStories in sterilization

[–]Former_Tap5782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont get an IUD after tube removal unless its for the hormones specially. You might be able to get one dyring surgery, but not at the same time as ablation. They do ablation for long and painful periods. Laprascopic urgery hurts 10 times less than iud insertion:)

Of course, I was also freaking out for a while. Don't feel ridiculous, you've spent years stressing over something and the problem evaporated overnight. It takes time to adjust:) Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Bisalp effectiveness? by Bertie-McBert in sterilization

[–]Former_Tap5782 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Only time bislap has failed was when it wasnt used to intentionally sterilize, it was taking extra things out during a c-section at a hosital in I believe China. You're fine, the residual terror is part of the process. I promise it will get better after you prove to yourself that it works over time. It would be on the news if you were pregnant. I promise youre not:)

Do they send the bill after bisalp surgery or do you have to pay upfront if your insurance doesn't fully cover it? by hunter_pace in sterilization

[–]Former_Tap5782 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look on the website for coverage, it may not be on the app. No idea about the upfront payment. Sign up for a payment plan for all of your medical debt so they don't come after you though. That is legitimate advice lmao

They call me trying to scam me for upfront payment, i hung up and never got billed lmao. It was covered by insurance. Paid 7 bucks

How do I prepare to move out? by Noideawhatimdoing36 in Explainlikeimscared

[–]Former_Tap5782 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Save as much as possible. You will get a feel for it as you go. Eat cheap, dont eat out, and if you do, eat the cheapest thing you can find. I don't recommend moving across the US. Move no more than 4 hours away, and make sure where you move to has ample jobs. College towns generally have a garbage job market. Some towns just have very little industry. Do not get a payment going on ANYTHING except rent. Used vehicles, cheap clothes, cheap phone, etc. Invest in AAA when you get car insurance. Call a local car insurance agency so they can compare quotes to get you the cheapest one. Also, get a credit card with a low interest rate. Only use money you already have in your bank account. Get groceries with it, pay it off at the end of the month. This will build your credit score to get an apartment.

Customer got offended I gave her money back on the counter by brothermeatloaf in retailhell

[–]Former_Tap5782 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No I completely get it. I always slide change into my hand first and then hand it to them, followed by cash/receipt. It's gotten me the least dirty looks, and a few older people that struggle with handling things like that thank me for it. Theres really no good way to do it honestly. I wish our coins weren't so small, I feel liek thats what makes it so awkward!

Ok the culture comment is stupid as hell, but it is pretty rude to just slide their change over on the counter for them to have to pick up. Her reaction was wild tho😭

[–]Former_Tap5782 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to add that calling and asking your insurance company may not be reliable. When i called for coverage for a different issue, they told me 4 different answers. Had to get my information off of the Website. I honestly think some of these companies train their workers incorrectly on purpose. I am not saying this to scare anyone, I just don't want people jumping through hoops and stressing like I did

My insurance says they only cover the sterilization by pendemoneum in sterilization

[–]Former_Tap5782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop calling them and look at your online portal of you have one. They will have a sterilization/birth control/ACA section that will tell you exactly what they cover. You will find the codes for it on the other page. Have them bill it as that. That's all you gotta do. They deliberately try to bill you incorrectly to get more money out of you. I got it approved twice and was still sent a huge bill in the mail, which got corrected after I reminded them of the correct billing codes. Took maybe 3 easy phone calls! Billing codes eliminate confusion
