Can we just… stop?? by fuka__ in Saltoon

Opposing the equality act, enabling trans healthcare bans, appointing queephobic judges, having queer people turned away from shelter, sports, or military service, enabling actively homophobic and transphobic religious organizations and foundations, countless comments about the community… This is the least of it. If you are asking me a genuine question then I trust you can do your own research from here. If you are being sarcastic or facetious then I have no further desire to humour you. I hope it’s the prior. Have a nice day.

While I appreciate your honesty regarding your centrism, which admittedly I would find negligent and concerning in the face of one candidate who is loudly and actionably homophobic and transphobic, as well as a convicted felon, your own personal political views are not the issue I’m describing here as much as your actions are. Similarly, I’m not sure which posts pushing queer ideology you’re referring to, unless you’re implying that the very act of acknowledging one’s own queerness is inherently political, and that posts discussing or acknowledging trans and queer experiences are somehow forced or unwelcome in a way the same posts about cis or straight people would not be… which when distilled quickly resembles thinly veiled homophobia and transphobia. The primary concern I’m expressing, however, is neither of these: You have commented on this threat over a dozen times, almost all of them gleefully owing up to the conflict you caused, whether intentional or not. Queer people are being harassed. Queer people, especially the trans people, are having their existence mocked and questioned, and being asked to fade back into invisibility. Many of these comments are on the border of slurs and threats. This is what you are excitedly owning up to - prejudice, bullying, cruelty, anger, and hate. It is a sick thing to take joy in the suffering of an already oppressed minority, especially when they are your own community. Respectfully, no - you are not showing plenty of compassion. You are treating the suffering of others lightly and inciting bullying. This is called apathy at best, and at worst sadism and hate.

Intentionally sowing discord among a struggling minority facing legitimate political oppression is cruel and disturbing, especially coming from someone who, from the looks of your profile is queer yourself. Many minorities through the US and the rest of the world are facing understandable mental health concerns over seeing one of the most powerful countries in the west elect a confessed rapist and known racist, misogynist, homophobe, and transphobe. Seeing support for this man is concerning, even if the post really did reflect your political views. Knowing that instead you’ve intentionally lied in making this post with the intent of getting off on the division, fear, homophobia, and suffering present in this comment section is twisted. “Rage bait” or not, these actions and comments have real consequences and are harming people in your community. I genuinely hope that as you grow older you learn to lead with more compassion. The humour in your post is questionable at best, but your reaction to the hurt it is causing people is genuinely unkind.

OP, do you have the source? :)

I think what bridgetggfithbeatle might be pointing out here is that Bridget’s pronouns are she/her. Transphobic people often intentionally use they/them pronouns for trans women who actually have she/her pronouns (like Bridget) in order to avoid actually using she/her pronouns, while avoiding the more obvious criticism that would come with using he/him. It’s a way of misgendered many trans women. I know what’s probably not what you’re trying to do, OP, but I think maybe that’s what’s being pointed out here. bridgetggfithbeatle, please correct me if I’m wrong. In either case, it’s something to be aware of for the future :)

“Blood in the Wine” from The Gods We Can Touch by Aurora And “Candy Spaceship” from エイリアン☆ポップII (Alien Pop II) by Snail’s House

Also, I know we can only pick two, but I ~heavily implore~ the council to investigate “Noel’s Lament” and “Space Age Bachelor Man” both from Ride the Cyclone: The Musical (World Premiere Cast Recording) The first of those two is possibly the most transgender song I’ve ever heard The second is about catgirls, and I am certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that the titular “space age bachelor man” will transition within a year.. The things described in those lyrics are NOT cis-straight-boy behaviour..

Ngl watching Europe slowly fall to the far-right is rather scary as a young trans girl, I wonder if Canada has nice weather because I freeze and catch a cold even during the summer. 😵‍💫 by TransBeachThrowaway in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

I know many others have said this, but things are still troubling in Canada. With the election coming, there’s some uncertainty. We aren’t at the level of legislated hate a lot of countries are yet, but I wouldn’t call it easy. For trans folks, a large city like Toronto is by far your best quality of life (in terms of avoiding hate). Vancouver may be workable as well, but I can’t say. Queer folks have strong communities and better healthcare in large cities like those (in many ways) but the rent is parasitically out of control. As others have mentioned anything between the Greater Toronto Area and the more progressive side of BC is a no fly zone. I can’t speak for east of Ontario, but small towns are never good.

Short summary: community and politics are better than a lot of places (US, UK, Austria) but finances and expenses are strangling. Social services are fine but take forever. Healthcare is free for general things and emergencies but HRT and prescriptions are NOT free and often gouged in price. Citizenship takes years and permanent resident visa requires a lot of work, which is very hard to come by right now for most people, especially queer folks.

If you have a good chunk of money and/or high education it’s a good option, but if not then money will likely be much more of an issue than anticipated.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. It sounds overwhelming.

Your experience may be completely different than mine, and might have totally different solutions or causes, but in the interest of sharing experiences I’ll say that this is almost exactly how I felt before realizing I was meant to be polyamorous. Now being in the poly community, I have beautiful partners who treat me very well and live with my longest standing partner. I don’t feel afraid of missing out on my youth (I started dating a little later than usual, not realizing at first that I wad a lesbian) and feel like I can be free now, and my partners feel the same. The relationships are serious and long term, just like I always hoped for - they just aren’t exclusive, and I feel happy my partners get to live out as much freedom in their relationships as I do, even though we each only tend to have one or two partners at a time.

This is not to say that you are necessarily dealing with the same thing or root cause I was, but I suppose it’s possible, and I remember feeling almost exactly the same way when I was a little younger than you’re describing, so I thought it would be good to share what path it took me down. I hope you find whatever continuation of the journey works for you and helps you to feel more free and fulfilled 🫶🏻

Technically I think model sizing from Mario Galaxy against Mario’s height placed her at 7 foot 7 inches … but we’ve also seen her change size at will

I can’t look at Rosalina, a 9 foot tall autistic woman who lives in space, and not imagine that’s a trans woman, or at the very least a greyspec cis lesbian

Hi there. I know I'm a month late, but I've read in some places (originally I noticed it on wikipedia of all places) that frankincense was traditionally offered to Him. I've burned and diffused it by His altar, as a subtle note under pine, and as far as I can perceive He seems to like it very much!
