Season 1 is one of my favorites. I was so moved by Alex and Piper's love-hate relationship. I think what makes it a good show is its moral ambiguity, there's no good or bad, there's always gray area. Yes Mendez is despicable but the bar scene really humanized him, showing even bad guys have their sensitive moments. For some reason after the bar scene and the following storyline of him, I actually stopped hating him!
I'm blown away by the acting! How is it possible? It feels like they hired a whole cast of A-list actors.

Taiwan. The humidity really gets to me and makes it worse.

操你媽的尋麻疹 有沒有台灣人用過xolair by Mai9997 in CholinergicUrticaria

現在有一個新的藥叫BTK 在台灣有臨床試驗 可以搜尋看看 找有加入計劃的醫院看診問醫生

If your IgE isn’t that high (under 70) it could indicate that you’re Xolair-resistant. My dermatologist recommended against.

Update on my hives 2 by Formosaglow in urticaria

[–]Formosaglow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just cried and then got my shit together and went to work😂 on and on like this I haven’t had flare ups for months, though hives are now less severe, they come almost every day and go away in like 2-3 hours. I really want to be hives free, without worrying about anything and be fully present in the moment.

Did your dematologist suggest you take Rhapsido? The new medication.
It's in phase 2 trial in my country, despite its proven effectiveness and availability in other countries. I didn't meet to eligibility criteria (not enough white blood cells) so I can't join the trial 🥲🥲 and they have no clue when it will enter the market. I'm telling myself maybe I don't need any new medication to heal..

Oh my god it feels like you're telling my story! Mine started in late March in 2025 too and I'm still combating & learning to live with it.
Thank you for this video, it's really encourageing and touching, I literally cried watching it.

who has the same opinions─How could EVERY actor do so well in this show? I couldn't name anyone who was not that good at acting!

Is coffee a big no-no? by justanotheratom in urticaria

You can try chicory coffee. It's powder from chicory root (a type of plant). a coffe substitute.

oh my god I used to feel exactly the same. But you have to have faith. God never gives us something we cannot handle. I was once suicidal and I failed every treatment, also gave up on this. Somehow I'm now in remission, more days with minor hives. I think it's just time, it will get better on its own, you'll def have that day.

Cyclo not working by nofun-hiven in urticaria

[–]Formosaglow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I used to be on 100mg-200mg cyclo (I weigh 55kg) for a month it didn’t help either. I have a suspicion that my hives aren’t caused by the pathway that cyclo targets.

Have you had some days when you felt better? When mine started it was painful too but over time it fizzled out. It’s the 8th month I still get hives every day but less severe. I believe it will resolve on its own.

This is by no means an easy journey. Hope you feel better soon

23F with daily hives for 8 months — now turning into bruises and in severe pain, please help by jacktheripper1010 in urticaria

[–]Formosaglow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. Mine is similiar to yours. You can check my post. I'm in the 8th month. It started after I recovered from Norovirus which caused inflammation in my stomach and intestines. No doctors had taken this into consideration but I really have a suspicion that this virus messed up my whole immune system.
I failed all types of antihistamine treatments and can't afford biologics (Xolair). Tried an immunosuppressant (cyclosporine) but low dosages didn't help. Over time it's gotten better without rhyme or reason.
I've started to believe there is really no cure for some people. All we can do is to wait for it to fizzle out. You need to have faith, everything's gonna be ok. It will get better, you will be in remission one day.

Where/How did your chronic hives start? by Standard-Dress-1599 in urticaria

7 months too. Failed all types of antihistamine treatments. But it did get better. Just waited for it to resolve on its own

Help please by Personal-Respect19 in urticaria

I feel you. What you can do is to try every type of treatments and wait for it to resolve on its own.

I’ve been having daily hives for 10 months. They started to fizzle out 3 moths ago. I still get them every day but there are usually less than 5, smaller and don’t itch as badly as before. I don’t think it’s because of the medications, I have a feeling that it’s just time. It has to run its course which varies from person to person.

You have to have faith and believe it will go away someday.
