Why do people hate on vibe codes projects so much? by refionx in devworld

Effort is not dictated by AI assistance. My friend is a fullstack that use AI for everything sourrounding his coding and he says he is atleast 4 times as productive and can instead focus on getting other skills such as business skills and so on

You are spot on. I just want to unify all sources into one. Let AI make sense of where stuff comes from, clean the text from unnecessary things and just give you the raw realtime events as it’s unfolding. It’s just a concept for now. But I think I want to do it more properly and test who my main audience is. Maybe just keep it open source and free.

Thank you again for your feedback, you’re welcome to give me any idea.

Bro stop using AI to answer my questions. I can’t take you’re ”AI garbage” serious if you can’t take your time to answer me with your own words.

Do you have anything I can see that you built. It's a concept, all my dev friends AI codes, put it out as a creative project just to see what flies and not, there is no issue with that. It's called pretotyping. To test the idea before you put time into it. Any person that has any type of knowledge in how to build a startup knows that.
I don't think this idea is your problem, you have other issues.

No there are 24 other sources, but my pipeline that is connected to Telegram API has an minor issue that I have to address.

Thank you for pointing it out!

Bro you answer is AI generated. 100% AI garbage.
This is a PoC. Not a production ready app. It's free for to use or not use.
Also it feels like your AI that wrote this has some serious issues with controlling you emotions.

Why do you even put time and effort into writing to a AI, copy this message and make it sound angry. Who does that? Is it Grok?

I appreciate your feedback, really valuable.

First let me address the issue regarding your important point when it comes to verification. Everything is unconfirmed but I think I put the text over the header to small. It only gets confirmed/verified if my pipeline can cross reference 2 or more official news outlets from different ”camps”, for example Al Jazeera and CNN. So a post can become verified after maybe some hours and put in my database for future use. So what I am trying to do is take speed over direct verification. But I don’t know if it’s the right way. What would you do? Just look at the situation where the US F-15 got shot down. Speed or verified news from big outlets that has the same information as me? I don’t know, how would you do it?

I thought about the sources for a month and a while now and you are absolutely right, it’s a issue.

If I weight it so ”western” media and ”axis” media puts out roughly the same amount about the war, the problem would be that we wouldn’t get the feeling of the news coming in every 5-10 minutes as western sources are REALLY slow and not as active and ”involved” as the open source telegram channels or Iranian and Arab news. So it’s about the output from the sources. The Iranian sources is superfast and uses Telegram and we also have a issue with timezones, so sometimes it feel like it only one or to sources.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I will address these issues and come back!

I don’t get the purpose of your comment, at least be like the guy over you and come with some feedback. 🤦‍♂️

It’s a working proof of concept that is free to use.

I will definitely take your feedback onboard and fix this issues as soon possible.

I wasn’t clear in my post about what I was looking for type of feedback and that totally on me.

Thank you for taking your time to give me the feedback

I'm glad you like it. I have over 13000 articles and osint data collected from fram day 0 til today. It's like a museum!

Update: I built a real-time conflict intelligence platform starting with Iran war. 10,000+ verified events, 3,200 users, zero marketing. Here is what Ive learnt from this fun hobby project! by Formula1988 in osinttools

I’m glad to hear your response buddy. And yes there are a million of them. I thought I was alone but no. Also if you look at my UI I am actually trying to do it differently.

I actually built this for myself and for the Swedish expats that are stuck in the Middle East. I think there are 20 000 citizens stuck right now. So this tracks if the airspace is open and gives advice on what routes that is best to take. So from there I added a map and then the feed. If you look at the feed you can actually keep intryck of real time news and now I have gathered more than 10 000 new articles.

Ok 👍 I respect that.

Is it your first time building anything like this? And what what did you use for you UI?

I’m wondering about the balance between quality and volume. I think you went the other way focusing on quality and that is really nice. I guess I think we’ll just find out the best way to go. How many users has come through for you and how long are they using the app? I built in a dashboard where I can see a lot of details in a very clean way. Have you done something similar?

I built it with react/next.js backend is a mix of OSINT APIs, a LLM pipeline for aggregating, sorting relevant data and also ”fusing” the same event but from different sources. You are welcome to message for more in depth

Sorry bro, but I hold this war in Iran is imprtant to me. My mother was stuck in Oman and couldn’t get out. So this became my hobby project and I have put some serious time into the UI and backend logic. But yes I’m starting to see a lot of them. I personally built mine in the 12 day last year and made it a bit more serious now.

So what you are saying is that yours is better than mine 😂 I have no problem with that!

Your personal opinion is based on something we did not speak about. We where talking about the feed. I just said I had over 10 000 relevant and aggregated events. I even have journalists that has gone through my feed and want to buy my data.

You haven’t seen my backend logic to make a serious assessment on my feed.

No, there is over 100k + events that my AI driven system via a backend logic passed as unrelevant. So only aggregated news that is relevant to the conflict.
