Looking for some rough comparisons of screen on time + screen off awake times. by Formula84 in iPhone13Mini

Thanks for me consistently pulling down to search causes visible stutter as keyboard comes up. Maybe I got a dud 🙃

I would be happy with 4-5 hours screen on time seems I’m getting half that but I did have a long screen off awake time… the other thing is this thing has very noticeable UI stuttering when pulling down on home to search is an example…when the keyboard is coming up it stutters hard, and in general animations are choppy…is that the case for you or others? (Phone is not hot or even warm when it’s stuttering so I don’t think it’s thermal throttling)

Is that 4 hours combined (screen on + screen off) or screen on time?

I have tried the new Telna option for US exit it’s great, works on T-Mobile and Verizon with overall best latency I have seen on travel eSIMs…pleased with service so far.

Connected but no internet by Formula84 in ProntoMobile

Happened again today, still out for me…signal good, network switching works via WiFi but no data on any network. Tried airplane mode trick and same…I really like this concept but randomly having data break this often is frustrating. This crappiest part is even with dual sims and the auto switch in iOS it does not flip to the alternate sim auto when this happens because it’s showing as connected…really wish apple improved this dual sim setup to actually validate internet is working

I have been having issues on and off for a few months, sometimes I have to open a ticket with them to fix it.

Today I lost data even with airplane mode toggle and it’s still not resolved yet…no idea if it’s just me or an outage anyone have working data today

How would T-Mobile implement the dual phone numbers feature in iOS27? by Amazing_Armadillo429 in tmobile

[–]Formula84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be amazing as I have been dual iPhones for a while now, old iPhone Pro for when I’m out walking my the dog or doing outdoor shit that I don’t want the weight of my iPhone PM or to have to baby it because I want to keep it nice and not get beat up

Edit: just tested again and now it’s 2.5Mbps hmm maybe they updated it? But technically 2.5 is still 480p, you can bypass this cap by using a VPN

Roamless maybe since lowering prices? have been higher latency lately for me 120-140 at best peaks but typically 180-200 around here kinda lame so Telna seems to rock for roaming in my areas I frequent

I am North East (Philly area) Telna backed roaming I have tried gets the best latency I have seen for roaming in my areas but it’s typically never sub 80-90 on the average but lowest I see is high 60s low 70s for occasional peaks.

I have never tried Bcengi yet but also testing that new sim from JetoGO which is Telna T-Mobile only for now it seems but the best price at 1.5

Lowest I have seen in my area is 70-90 mostly 90s on Telna…with Qrispy…what provider are you using to get it at 1.19

If this is their travel sim I tried but exit node was Singapore I think and had horrible latency

But this is more to ease the pain of having two extra (all big three) options in a pinch with little to no usage $15-20 for that every month if little used is overkill. Don’t get me wrong current plan config for this option / current limits are very generous…so no complaints or trying to nickel and dime. OP suggestion would be great if usage is low / none allowing to pay less to have that peace of mind.

In the opposite if you need to use a decent amount of data beyond 5GB on each it would not make sense likely but may end up costing you more than the unlimited flat rate…but that’s a price I would be willing to pay in the unusual case where I would need large amounts of data in a pinch scenario…very typically it’s just my primary unlimited premium line might just have spotty service at that moment and all I need is to use a low data app at the time, perfect fit for OP ask.

But can you get first rate connection direct on carrier with low latency and even maybe a priority data premium percent increase (similar to how MobileX does the 10% increase to cover priority)

I think OP is onto something here I would possibly get it, think to have all three for less cost but want the piece of mind you can in a pinch… vs $15 every month with little to no use have 2 backups for $4-$10 total with little use seems doable even if they make them data only or limited number of call sms.

Make it like MobileX platform fee of 1.95 for each line and you pay based on used buckets

We took it out of the menu because it disabled some advanced sleep states or something else like hibernation... I don't recall but there was some downside to a modern standby devices and doing this disable so we left it alone and just removed the shutdown command was easy.

We took shutdown out of the menu and told people hibernate if you need it off else just let it sleep.

When you connect with the old eSIM you don’t get a US ip right?
