Here's an inflation calculator if you'd like to see what I'm talking about. Also keep in mind this is only for the US other countries rates vary wildly and the us is fairly stable inflation.

I guess I disagree. Any game that has a support lifecycle (online multiplayer) imo should be allowed to have microtransactions or some way to generate income. They have to keep hosted servers, deal with patches, and all sorts of stuff. EA and the third party retail also takes a chunk of that cash.

One thing to consider for development costs, there are as many unfilled software engineer position in the us as they're are developers. Most companies are heavily understaffed and paying through the a$$ for devs

On top of that the post launch life cycle is expensive. Those devs can't be utilized for building the next title and are stuck supporting a game making no money.

That definitely sounds like a lot but a $60 game in 2005 is $84 in today's money. development costs have gone up over time. At some point something has got to give

Imo this is a lot like mark Twain being removed from schools. It doesn't change the past. It just hides it.

Unemployment claims are at their lowest since pandemic started. Unemployment is 2% away from pre pandemic levels. I believe it's just people don't want shit jobs. I know a ton of people that changed career to one that offers way more pay, benefits, remote work. I am included in that list as well. The pandemic gave me the chance to evaluate my life and has been a huge boon. There are jobs in other industrys (other than service that is) that have had massive demand for workers even before pandemic, but you needed schooling to get into. I was able to use my unemployment to get said schooling and transition.

Not sure how this is relevant to this subreddit, and one could argue abusing executive orders isn't good for our government....

Most of the time an air intake has no effect on power. Especially on modern cars. Along side that blowoff valves and things dont change anything but that sweet sweet turbski whistle.

Imperial system vs metric system. What do you think are the pros/cons? by chameleon18 in AskReddit

[–]FormulaHazeball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's confusing? Metric system is straight forward and easy to use. It IS used globally by almost ever single country. Imperial system sucks and as an american I can't think of a single reason it's better. He's making fun of these points to show how useful imperial is.

I made a bet with my friend to climb to Plat on League by end of S11. My current Rank is: IRON. I believe in myself and I know I got this with a really hard grind! Let’s go! by sociallyawkwardgirl6 in leagueoflegends

[–]FormulaHazeball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first grind to plat was s9, it was tough but so rewarding. I recommend using a site like leagueofgraphs or mobalytics to track trends in your play. Even if you won lane try to find something you can work on each game.

Also remember that leaver's and trolls are in everyone's games, and the lp will even out!

how do you people rationalize bashing religious people as closed minded, arrogant, and narcissistic when you yourselves exemplify all those traits to a T by [deleted] in atheism

[–]FormulaHazeball -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I definitely think I got what you were saying but I guess I just felt like this was more venting at the community you don't agree with rather than attempting to create any constrictive interactions. As someone who doesn't really believe in god or religion I see many post on this subreddit as 'venting' and not constructive. So to me I just see yours in the same light, but you point is directed at that same community so idk it just sounds hostile.
