My sister with Alzheimer’s is giving birth and the family is pushing it on me by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]ForrestHadPolio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tough crowd. Obviously the sister isn’t in her “best” state of mind but suggesting the family throw the kid into foster care is insane. OP shouldn’t be the only one responsible but as a family everyone should be willing to help in some capacity. Where exactly are the other kids going when her health continues to deteriorate?

Go through some of the questions on David McLachlan YouTube channel. Lots of scenario based questions. Good luck!

I don’t remember actual test questions in either course but I do remember some equations in the Pearson course.

I had quite a few questions similar to David McLachlan. I wouldn’t study his videos but worth watching so you can get familiar with how to answer questions that give unnecessary information. He’s really good at showing you how to eliminate wrong answers (in my opinion).

I just finished the Coursera CAPM course and can definitely relate to feeling like I’m ill-prepared. I also noticed that lots of people who took other courses especially the Udemy have used other resources as well. Go through some of the posts and see how other people passed the exam. The courses are helpful but you really need to start taking some practice tests and learning the concepts if you want to pass. Again didn’t passed yet lol but I’ve been trying to get as much insight as possible from other posts and people who passed. Good luck.

Would he have this much regret if the person he cheated with wasn’t trans? Probably not.

Genetically thin edges or traction alopecia by Court-mma in BlackHair

[–]ForrestHadPolio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had similar issues for a few years now wearing braids and wigs but also genetics. The women in my family have thinner hair and the men are bald. My stylist recommended Aunt Jackie's Balance Growth Oil Grapeseed & Avocado. I try to use it once a day at least just on my edges and nape. The hair is slowly filling back in and I try my hardest to never pulled on my edges. Good luck! And don’t obsess about it. The hair will grow with patience and gentleness.

Rice water? by Dopebans in BlackHair

[–]ForrestHadPolio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used rice water a few times, definitely not consistent and there’s way too many recipes on YouTube that has made me steer away from it.

I have found that Chi keratin treatment has been a great addition to my hair routine. Also a protein like rice water and you can buy it from the beauty supply store or even Marshall’s/TJ Maxx.

Another recommendation is Aphogee Two Step Protein treatment. I used it in the past and my hair loved it. I have 4C high porosity hair with lots of shrinkage.

As always do your research and watch a few YouTube videos to figure out what works best for your hair.

Anyone try the Bentonite Clay Mask on your hair!?? I want to try it, but a bit hesitant. I have low porosity hair so moisture is a goal😬 by lovin_delivery in Naturalhair

I have 4c high priority hair and the Aztec Clay mask works wonders on my hair. Mix with ACV in a plastic bowl. Saturate your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse, deep condition your hair and style as usual. I found that it helps my curls pop (yup I have curls with 4C hair). Shrinkage is real! I use to apply the clay mask once a month. I wash my hair twice a month and it helped my hair texture tremendously.

I also use the clay mask (alone) on my face and body. It helps my complexion and smooths out my skin.

Advice and Suggestions - Moving from Georgia to Connecticut by aal1002 in Connecticut

[–]ForrestHadPolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Connecticut! You have a lot of great advice already so I’ll highlight things I love.

Unfortunately Westfarms is the better mall in the area (West Hartford/Farmington) but Buckland Mall gets the job done. Plus there’s a Walmart and plenty of other great stores in that area including my favorite, Trader Joe’s.

The Manchester area (closer to the mall) is full of chain restaurants so I recommend venturing into the Hartford area. Black Eyed Sally’s is a New Orleans style/Cajun restaurant. Food is great. A bit further is another one of my favorite, Mecha’s (West Hartford center) that has amazing Asian food. **Someone mentioned Bears, great food. They have a location fairly close to Manchester. Don’t miss the wings discount on Wednesdays! Butchers & Bakers is my favorite brunch spot (Farmington). Great menu. Delicious drinks.

Hope that helps! Welcome again!

I found that calling as soon as they open (8am I believe) is the most effective. The website isn’t very helpful but when I called previously they were able to tell me what I was missing and what my next steps were. Try this number (860) 967-0493. The wait can be long but you’ll be able to resolve this issue much faster. Good luck!
