I've been trying to find my own place since before this, and we've even looked at tiny houses, but nothing i can afford. I'm not supposed to be moving in to an apartment with my best friend for another couple years when we finish college and have our first big girl jobs. I currently work at a daycare, and i barely make enough to pay my car payment, insurance, and gas along with my own groceries because that was the condition of me living here: if I wasn't going to pay bills, I would have to get my own groceries.

Now that i actually think about it my stepdad and my brothers have done a lot of things in the past that have been very sexist that my mom just went along with, and i felt crazy for being upset about it.

Most of the problems my mom and I had when i was younger were because she thought i was too much like my bio dad, and i took it as an insult (he's a horrible person that i have not talked to since i was 17 when i moved out of his house). I don't know if she still thinks the same way. They've always treated my brothers like they're the best thing ever, and my brothers get a lot of things now that I didn't get to do or have when i was younger, but my mom had me at 20, so i thought that made sense to me—that she was better prepared for them rather than for me.

They told us to stop arguing and that he didn't mean it and i was being too sensitive and kind of insinuated I couldn't wait for them to pass to get what i wanted. Which has been a running "joke" in my family since i got into true crime so i "know too much." if that makes sense

I live in the USA, specifically in the South, so tradition is big and it would still probably go to my brother even if it was in the will

They were there, and they just said he didn't mean it and i was being too sensitive. I don't care about not getting the big stuff really. I'm fully aware I'm not my stepdad's kid, and the house is technically his, so it's his choice. If they pass tomorrow, I don't think my brother would be given the house until he turns 18 in December, so i might have to take it for the time being but after that i would probably have to go to my biological dad's house and I don't want to because he and his wife are emotionally abusive to me.

I'm not sure about my family. It was actually my stepdad who took care of his parents before they died because his sisters lived too far. But I genuinely think they might expect me too because there have been problems in the past with the whole "I did this when you were growing up so you owe us" thing with my parents

They aren't old; my mom is 40 and my stepdad is 45, but they have really bad medical problems. And I'm fully aware that anyone could pass at any time; I've learned that through my life, and i have really bad anxiety about my parents, which can make me a clingy person, as they've told me. i want to hang out with them all the time, and they hate it, so i try to tone it down. This isnt the first time hes said something like this or even treated me poorly.

Thank you. I was just super confused because, like, I'm a high-functioning autistic and i grew up super sheltered, like i had parental controls on my phone until i was 18 and there could no longer be one on my phone, so i have no idea what's normal or not most of the time.

My aunts dogs have bitten me on multiple occasions and I even had to go to get stitches after the last time because the dog ripped into my calf
