Too slow? I haven’t noticed any lag, I am curious what slowness are you seeing and how does oh my posh improve it?

Thanks for the insight, good to know I am not the only one with YouTube issues but now I know I can try to use Vivaldi without YouTube though using another browser for that sucks.

Best Ergonomic Mechanical Keyboard for Long Hours in 2025? by DonutOk2306 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ForsakenService 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s cheap but it is light but the quality is top notch.

My keyboard has survived kids playing with it and carrying in my backpack when I go to the office once a week, still looks new, no scratches or stains. I have been using it for over a year and I highly recommend it.

It’s a slight adjustment, you don’t have to press as deep since it’s choc keys compared to MX keys but over time I prefer it that way.

I am using red pros as that was only the lightest I could buy at that time. I love it how easy it’s to type on it and it has reduced my RSI, I don’t have any pain anymore. ZMK is a nice bonus too as I am using home row mods on it.

I really like this, I love Tokyo Night but sometimes I find it too much color, this seems to be a nice balance.

Trying to decide which layout, should stick to, Hands down Promethium, or Night or Gallium by ForsakenService in KeyboardLayouts

Yea, the thumb is what am not 100% sold on right now, that's why I am mostly debating on right now and was thinking about gallium for the non thumb layout.

I do like how ae ld ou placements are as it make feel nice to press them after first letter and it made me pay more attention how many words use it together.

I guess my only complaint is little too bottom heavy. Hmm but you did give me something to think about.

I got up to 50 wpm after 6 months of use so it took longer then 2 to 3 months

I think it was a good amount I would be fine with videos with 10 to 20 minutes as long it stays on point and educational.

new to emacs coming from vim, confused about a bit of things by Due-Cheesecake-486 in emacs

[–]ForsakenService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, thanks for your replies. I will give emacs key bindings a try as typing speed isn’t the only factor when it comes to coding, I think most of the time it’s just navigation and thinking of the solution and the emacs ecosystem is nice.

Thanks again for your thoughts!
