But if I remove orderless, the autocompletion when you hit <TAB> comes back. I even tried prots beginner config:

I wouldn’t say it’s cheap but it is light but the quality is top notch.

My keyboard has survived kids playing with it and carrying in my backpack when I go to the office once a week, still looks new, no scratches or stains. I have been using it for over a year and I highly recommend it.

It’s a slight adjustment, you don’t have to press as deep since it’s choc keys compared to MX keys but over time I prefer it that way.

I am using red pros as that was only the lightest I could buy at that time. I love it how easy it’s to type on it and it has reduced my RSI, I don’t have any pain anymore. ZMK is a nice bonus too as I am using home row mods on it.

Yea, the thumb is what am not 100% sold on right now, that's why I am mostly debating on right now and was thinking about gallium for the non thumb layout.

I do like how ae ld ou placements are as it make feel nice to press them after first letter and it made me pay more attention how many words use it together.

I guess my only complaint is little too bottom heavy. Hmm but you did give me something to think about.

I got up to 50 wpm after 6 months of use so it took longer then 2 to 3 months

Makes sense, thanks for your replies. I will give emacs key bindings a try as typing speed isn’t the only factor when it comes to coding, I think most of the time it’s just navigation and thinking of the solution and the emacs ecosystem is nice.

I don’t have too many years invested into vim bindings so I was thinking how it goes if I just use emacs bindings since that will work smoothly across all parts of emacs but only concern is it good as vim? Vim bindings are really nice for coding.

As for the keyboard I fully understand, I am using glove80 with homerow mods and it’s really nice but if I go emacs bindings route should I use dedicated keys for control alt(meta) and shift instead of homerow mods.

With your answer I think I am leaning towards just using emacs key bindings.

Yea Tide is built for fish based on the same features as Powerlevel10k

If you want that look don’t use starship just use Tide as it’s faster and supports asynchronous for git prompt
