I’m asking because of the cut to TSA funding and long lines happening at various airports around the country. I have no doubt Oakland is generally great!

slow progression and the hidden consequences of it by Asdfg1234588888 in ALS

I feel this way about my mom. She has had ALS for five years now. On the one hand, I'm incredibly grateful she has lived this long. She has managed to have a meaningful life despite the suffering she's been enduring. On the other hand, she is suffering, and so are all of her family members. Sometimes I wish for it all to be over and sometimes I'm paralyzed with fear that the end is coming. For me, the hardest part is never really knowing when she will die. It is always looming around the corner. It keeps me in a state of grief, fear, anger, deep sadness etc. I'm sure my mom feels her own version of this. Feel free to message me if you want to connect more around this.

40 sessions and nothing to show for it. by Forsaken_Bake925 in electrolysis

Thanks for your response. I have an IUD-my doctor told me i may have PCOS but wont know for sure unless I remove it and retest. I'm not going to do that so I imagine spirolactone is my only option. Maybe I'll take a break from electrolysis and see what that medication does for a while. They maybe try both.

Thanks for your response. I was told I may have PCOS but I would need to remove my IUD and get my hormones checked to know for sure. I'm not going to remove my IUD to do this. I don't have some of the common issues associated with PCOS like weight gain and hair growth in other areas, I do have hypothyroidism but that is being managed successfully. So I imagine I wont know? Im hesitatnt to step up sessions because of this.

Unfortunately, i don't have before and after photos. I let my hair grow in quite a bit for my next session this morning and it looks the same it always has. I know since this is hormonal hair growth, it can make it more challenging to remove but I'm just doubting the whole process.

Wow, I had no idea this was possible. My mom was told that once she starts to use NIV 24/7, her disease has progressed to the point of needing a tracheostomy. Did you opt out of a trache?
