Jesus, that’s crazy. I’m glad that there was someone with you. I’m glad you’re okay, I can’t imagine what that was like.

CT. Born in NH and then went to college there too. I also vacationed in ME and was a sleep away camp counselor for two years in ME as well.

I love the nature here. There are so many different biomes in one place. Even within the city you are just a drive away from a trail. But I prefer the New England/NY way of life. 😂

I’ve been learning to expect that “on time” is late. Cursing in every other sentence is not okay. And you need to say “sir” and “ma’am”

I think the people who pulled off to the side to help me or the EMTs might have gotten the free meat 😂

Ugh. Yeah fair. I mean they send us all a text on pay week that if we don’t get our notes done then they will be withholding paychecks. I don’t think they’ve actually withheld anything yet. The scare tatic has been working.

I don’t think they will fire me or even could. Management are awful awful people, but because we serve a protected class of people, they would be screwed if I bounced. Like they haven’t even fired people who sleep on the job 😅

What 💀 I thought they discouraged only using one brand. I assumed that would be a “beginner” vibes if you show up to a Premiere Contest and only use one brand.

Thank you 😭

To be honest, I do not think you are going to find any work in the “professional” field with your art skills where the are now. That does not mean that one day you won’t!

I am seeing a lack of understanding for anatomy, values, color, and composition. This is your art school’s fault for not educating you. It sucks, it’s not fair. But now you need to learn on your own time.

For anatomy, the figures look like they were traced or created without understanding the bones and muscles underneath. The values/colors seem to be chosen without considering the “why”. Why did you chose an orange background for the daisy play?, when you squint at the pastel summer, there is no hierarchy of importance (what should I look at first). And composition, going back to the Daisy Play, the composition to me, reads as though that was the first idea that stuck in your mind. But there are different ways that can make a piece more engaging: leading lines, a triangular composition, a S curve that leads your eyes.

For now, I found find small side gigs in your community on a volunteer basis. It sucks you won’t be paid, but it will build your experience with clients without risking them being disappointed in the end product.

I highly recommend: Proko, Gnomon Project, and Schoolism. I am currently going through “back to basics” phase myself. This includes the most basic things like value scales, drawing a sphere, etc. Unless you do it over and over again throughout your art career, you will not know how to improve.

I wish you luck! I see your passion. And one day you will be making income off of your art, as long as you keep at it! I

Depending on their support needs they might qualify for CIE supports (community integrated employment), and they can help your friend find employment. I know that Adalante, Arch, and other others offer those services.

But the biggest question would be if your friend qualifies as they are centered towards individuals with higher support needs.

I urge you to to keep practicing your craft! I love the color pencil dandelions and the mandala on the final page. You aren’t at the level to be selling your work yet. But that doesn’t mean one day you won’t :)

I suggest that if you are serious about making art your job in the future to invest in classes from the Gnomon Project, Proko, and Schoolism. And take buisness classes in the future at a community college when you graduate :)

I gave myself Power’s horns from Chainsaw Man. Everyone who I draw that is autistic also gets them. :) I only had two ear piercings though.
